Wow! I love this one- a great continuation of Our Little Secret! Does Rose ever show/give Scorpius the Green Knight poster?
Author's Response: 'That question will be answered in the one shot that comes next . . . The Green Knight Rises. :D
I'm not precisely sure why Scorpius joining Malfoy enterprises fills me with absolute dread, but it does. Odd, how you can make me worry even when I'm not sure exactly why that's so ominous--but awesome. I just know I hate Lucius and he creeps me out, but you craft everyone so perfectly...Draco's so different than his father that it makes perfect sense for him to keep up appearances and have him over often, but he doesn't necessarily agree with him anymore. Just perfect.
Author's Response: I hope review replies link back to the review so you won't be wondering what the heck I'm talking about, :D. I'm glad Scorpius joining Malfoy enterprises fills you with dread. Lucius isn't going to give up his plans for Scorpius easily . . . something I'll write about after I finish my Lily Go Lightly one shot. She cut in line ahead of our couple when they were otherwise occupied.
Haha, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Nice reference!
Author's Response: I used them in several Remus and Tonks stories and grew so fond of them I couldn't help using them here, too. :D
I'm slightly confused... is the Wizard's Handshake not valid anymore?
Author's Response: It's only valid in the Weasley home. :)
I have been following your stories since I first joined about a year ago, and I love them ALL. Especially the Rose/Scorpius ones. I think you are a brilliant writer and you've developed the story, characters, and relationships beautifully. I am interested in anything you write, so keep it up! I'm looking forward to the Lily stories. And yes, please continue the Rose/Scorpius stories :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for following the stories and wanting them to continue! I've posted the first chapter of a two part Lily story, and thankfully Rose and Scorpius are enjoying each other's company so much they don't mind waiting awhile for their next story. ;)
*sigh* as promised.
Author's Response: That sigh was music to my ears. *hugs*
That was a really amazing story!! Rose and Scorpius were just brilliant, and the family was exactly how I expected it to be :) Hope Teryn and Edgar won't have problems in future! And I loved the part about the vision Rose had; I'm gonna go with it being Sight, hehe. Anyway, congrats on finishing this awesome fic! I'll be keeping an eye out for The Green Knight Rises, too, can't wait to read more! --Nadia
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree about Sight, or else Rose and Scorpius both enjoyed that outdoor shower so much it's as good as Sight. :D Teryn and Edgar will have problems in the future, but that's another story. ^_~
I think you outdid yourself with this chapter. Hugo was certainly being a brat. You did a great job of showing him as a teenage boy probably experiencing his first crush but still playing the role of the annoying little brother. I don't know why but I found it hysterical that Hugo detained Scorpius outside the door and then Ron drove up and asked Scorpius if he was trying to coolant charm the whole world. I think it's made so interesting because you're talking about the wizarding world but using common everyday Muggle terms. There's nothing mysterious about these people, they're just regular people. It was eye opening to realize that when you're riding in an invisible flying car that you can't see anyone in the car. I guess that would defeat the purpose if the car was invisible but you could see five people in a sitting position moving through the air. How daring, just picking up your stuff and Apparating to London. Ron's going to have a heart attack. Excellent story. I can't tell you how excited I am that you will be writing more stories. It was too much to hope or to ask for.
Wizards are people too! :D I think that's one of the draws of Harry Potter. Wizards are human beings like everyone else, just magical (which is really, really, cool). I tweaked one of my dad's lines (Are you trying to air condition the whole world?), so if your dad ever accused you of working for the electric company, heh, that could be why you found it funny (and thank you for laughing!).
Ron was resigned to Scorpius taking Rose off on holiday at the beginning of the story, and his one-man tent comment showed while he was okay with them sharing a tent somewhere else (where he didn't have to think about all that implied) he was NOT okay with them doing it a few metres away from his tent. :D
Thank you for looking forward to more stories!
Aha! A little lovin' is about to take place, if I'm not mistaken. ;D This reminds of Remus and Tonks's story, with them finally reaching that point (though thankfully you didn't make us wait 3 stories for it!) I adored this story, but when it comes to anything you write, that goes without saying.
And you mentioned something about whether we are interested in another story to which I must ask, when will you get it through your apparently thick skull that even if you offered to write your 560 page manifesto on the finer points of underwater basket weaving, I would still be interested?
You're just that good.
Three stories, four one shots (five if you count Butterfly Summer itself, heh) and three poems for R/T readers. I must be getting soft. :D
Aw, thank you for making me laugh and feel warm and fuzzy all at the same time. If I did write about underwater basket weaving, it would be at Hogwarts lake, and merpeople would be involved, maybe Hugo would save the Hufflepuff girl he'd made cry in OLS when he tried to take a jab at Malfoy staying at school by saying some people weren't wanted at home. :D
I couldn't help but think of Nirvana's song "Stay Away" when i read Lucius's quote about paranoia. Although in the song it goes "Just because you're paranoid don't mean they're not after you." I wondered if this was intentional hehe
Author's Response: It'd be interesting to google how many ways that saying's been used, but my mind's stuffed with enough useless trivia as it is, heehee.
Well, another story comes to an end! And I won't even comment on how you're breaking your "only one-shots from now on" rule because I happen to adore the idea of a full series! :D
Now, as for this one. I loved, loved, loved it! There were a few loose ends that I'm sure you'll address in the epilogue but it all fit very nicely. I can't wait for the epilogue and the next story!
(You know what a good name for a main character is? The name of your most dedicated fan! Just a thought... :D)
Author's Response: I like the way you think! The epilogue's up, and I think you'll like the way loose ends were tied. :)
i can't believe this one is about to end..
can't wait for your next one.
Author's Response: It isn't really the end, just a transition, like from an ongoing comic book series to films. The first one will be The Green Knight Rises. ^_^
Author's Response: Next chapter I hope to see *sigh* :D.
i really like this you'reso far! a great writer!
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you'll like more and more as you read on. :)
I enjoyed the entire story. I hope you will do something with the Scorpius undermining The Knights of Walpurgis storyline. There seems to be a great deal of conflict and mystery there to be fleshed out. Looking forward to reading more of your stories.
Author's Response: Thank you for looking forward to more stories! This one was about a holiday taking an unexpected turn, but there will be other stories to explore their efforts to discover what the Knights of Walpurgis have been up to and do something about it. The first one will be The Green Knight Rises. ;)
Thanks for writing!!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading! The story would just be a bunch of sad pixels if no one read it. :)
I have a number of things to do around the house but I couldn't resist treating myself to reading this chapter. It was ace, as always:D (I hope I used that term correctly.) Let's see, what were my favorite parts. I loved Ron's confession of how he got Hugo to calm down and rest in the past. I could see Ron and Hermione having that discussion, right down to their facial expressions. I loved that Rose went to Knockturn Alley to buy a Green Knight poster for Scorpius. And, for some reason, the mention of a WWW Teen Trust ankle bracelet made me giggle. I think it was the irony that it came from WWW--it was the source that made me giggle. I really like that you tie characters and places together from all of your stories. It makes for a stable background and I always go, "I remember that place. Tonks went there once," for example. I was once again delighted that this wasn't the end, although I know the end is coming. Excellent chapter. I loved every second of it.
Actually, the poster was for Rose. She meant to buy comics to get some insight into the Green Knight (and Scorpius) but she saw the poster and had to have it. Even the practical daughter of Hermione Granger can make an impulse buy. :D
Thank you for enjoying the irony of George, who snuck out of the Burrow on so many nights, creating a Teen Trust tracking bracelet. I'm sure Ron's paranoia inspired it, hehheh.
Thank you for treating me to a marvellous review!
I love these stories!!!
Author's Response: I'm so glad! Thank you. ^_^
Lovely, as always. I eagerly await the next chapter.
Author's Response: I'm sorry I made you wait. It's up, and I'm writing the epilogue, so that's one chapter that will be on time. :)
Such a cliffie!! I love your Next Generation stories, well, actually, I love all your stories, but these make a gasp and laugh so much my lungs will never be the same again!
I hope Courage is doing well!
Your lungs will be strong and everyone you know will love your laugh, I'm sure of it. :)
Courage is currently stretched out on my bed like a big, black stuffed animal. Poor thing picked up a horrific amount of ticks on a hike through the woods, and I've been bothering him ever since, checking his ears and between his toes. If I didn't give him treats I'm sure he'd be very annoyed. :D
