A breastfeeding fic! I am in love! This takes me back to my daughter's early days when I probably sounded a bit like Ginny and my husband patiently took care of her before and after nighttime feeds and patiently walked the hall with her. Thanks for that.
Author's Response:
Yes! It actually surprised me when I wrote it. Considering the subject matter, this is a surprisingly popular story. It’s written from experience, except I had to walk up and down the stairs, it was the only thing that worked.

I am a little embarrassed to say that this is the fanfiction that told me you are a guy. I usually reserve judgement but I failed while reading all your other fiction. I came back to read this again and remembered my epiphany.
Sorry!
~Ellorah
Author's Response: It was this one? Fair enough, this, and First Sight are probably giveaways, although having said that, I suspect thar The Question is a giveaway, too. -N-
Adorable. I love how James goes 'Mummydaddy mummydaddy"
Author's Response: Thank you. James is only a little over two years old in this. -N-
LOL !!! This is funny!
Author's Response: Not when it's hapening to you it in't. :-D -N-
You make me, cynical and fearful of babies, want to have children, ha!
You are such an exceptional writer, with an amazing talent for creating dynamic characters that one can connect with. This is especially difficult because you're working with pre-existing character created by Jo, but I adore your characterizations of Harry and Ginny. They are so close to how they are in the books, but realistic as they are now new people after wards.
I really commend your writing, both your voice, imagination and the more technical aspects and grammar. I have not come across a single story penned by your hand that I have not enjoyed, keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and compliments.
I try to keep harry and Ginny in character, and true to the epilogue (which, in my opinion, shows a lot about their marriage and parenting style in very few words and shows how great a writer JKR is). I know that I’m not the daft teen I once was (sorry daft teens everywhere but we all grow up eventually) and I try to mature Harry and Ginny in a logical way; Ron less so :-)Of all my “family” stories (It Takes Two, E.C.C.E.N.T.R.I.C., First Sight, this, Beard Hunters and Ginny’s Rival) this is by far the most read and reviewed. I’ve no idea why it’s so popular. My long suffering betas (all of them) deserve credit for correcting my commas etc. over the years.

Loved loved this one. Daddy Harry is amazing. Mommy Ginny is disgruntled, but I am sure most women get like that! The descriptions of the kids is accurate. I read in one of your reviews that you are a father and it shows. Lovely stories! Is there one where Lilyloo is born? :) I'd like to know how Harry felt when his first daughter was born.
Author's Response: Thanks again. Daddy Harry is used to doing strange things in the middle of the night. He's been doing it since he was eleven! :-D Ginny is smply having a bad night. It happens. The Lily story is written, too, and in it Ginny is even more disgruntled. -N-
You're really a good writer.Ty for writing about harry and ginny
Author's Response: Thanks. -N-
I promise you that "precious" is not meant to be an insult! :) I really did love the story, and I don't think you are unusual in how you feel about your family. Two of my three brothers are married and they act the exact same way about their little ones! :)
Author's Response: Thanks, I was certain it wasn't. :-D One of my workmates claims to be entirely disinterested in his kids. He's never changed them, or bathed them, or anything. He thinks I'm strange. -N-
What a precious story! It is so intimate and sweet how Harry sees his growing family and wife. And the part about Harry's conversation with Ron at the pub was just priceless! I don't have children of my own yet, so I can't relate fully, but I hope that my husband thinks about me and our children the same way Harry does his. Just a beautifully written story overall! :)
Author's Response: Thanks (I think In my part of the UK precious is often used as an insult. It means over-fastidious, pretending to be something it isnt. Im certain thats not what you meant, but speech-differences fascinate me. :-D )
This (along with It Takes Two, First Sight and the just-about-to-be-submitted Ginnys Rival) make up a series of Potter family stories. Harrys experience of fatherhood is embarrassingly close to my own, and a close friend of mine (a fellow-father who will remain nameless) would recognise most of that pub conversation. Am I unusual? I have no idea.-N-
this is my favorite story. I love it so much. It is so cute cute. The whole thing is just amazing. I have spent like nine hours trying to find this fic so i could read it again and put it on favorites. It is just perfect and cute and awesome. I love Ron and Rosie (i am a daddy's girl and i just think it is the cutest thing when dads love their baby daughters). This fic is completely adorable and i hoe to read more from u.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review.
This is certainly one of my fluffier stories. I often tell reviewers that this is the third of three Potter Family tales, the others are It Takes Two and First Sight. I hesitate to advertise, but if you liked this, you might like Strangers at Drakeshaugh, too. -N-
This is really good. We need more
Author's Response: More what? Baby stories? Unlikely. Though I'm working on a story about James II going to a Muggle school. -N-
i loved seeing harry as a helpful father! it was so funny to see ron competiting with harry and saying his daughter was better haha. very intimate story between ginny and harry and harry and albus...sorry adorable! thanks for sharing!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This was a lot of fun to write. N
Awww!! That is so cute!! I love this story and would love to read more. The only part i don't like is how Harry feels with Ginny in that way...but its just me. Good story!!!
Author's Response: As i've already said, this is the third in a loose trilogy of family stories. The others being "It Takes Two" and "First Sight" there may be more, but not for a while. Harry is a man and we all have desires which may seem a little ... odd. The Ron/Harry pub conversation is based on one I had with a friend, sorry. N
That was just beautiful. Raw, artistic honesty.
There was a strong truth to character throughout - all development in mental attitude was clearly explained and totally plausible.
Incredible, I think for the first time in my reviewing life, I don't think I can find any concrit. That really was the ideal balance of internal reflection and action.
Also, I can safely say there's not a woman in the country wouldn't dream for a husband like that!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. Harry the ideal husband? I thought that he was just being Harry the doting dad. Certainly he wasn't doing anything unusual, in my experience. N
I liked this story because I loved the way it was simple. Harry's life is usually portrayed as chaotic, sometimes with a lot of drama...He's usually in the middle of something heroic, or in some kind of crisis. This fiction one was perfect because it seemed like a normal night, with nothing crazy. His experience is something I could imagine happening to anyone...It was just average, and it was refreshing to read a story like that. Good job!
Author's Response: Harry was portrayed as a good dad in the epilogue, comforting a nervous Al. Im sure that his life will be chaotic (three kids!) and sometimes dramatic. But Id hope that by eight years after the battle hed be able to relax occasionally. Of course in this story hes not relaxing. N
Cute!
Author's Response: Why does everyone say cute? Sleep deprivation is not cute. (-; N
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you (-;
Superb! I love the way you write from Harry's perspective. Everything is so very poignant and sweet and perfectly detailed. I loved the dynamic you had with Ron and Harry as proud fathers. Very funny and sweet at the same time. Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks. I seriously thought about taking the Ron and Harry at the pub section out. I was concerned that their conversation added too much to the underlying eroticism of the, mainly, baby story. Now Im glad that I didnt. -N-
That was wonderful, just like the other two! I just love reading these stories about Harry and Ginny and their kids. Everything about them rings so true to life and so beautiful! I don't know what constructive criticism I could offer even if I wanted to. You build each moment of these stories with such detail and heartfelt emotion. You portray Harry as a father wonderfully well - I love that these are in his point of view. I would really like to read something about Lily, if you had any plans to continue. It would be lovely to see Harry's reaction to having a daughter. Thank you so much for sharing these, they are wonderful! ~Gina :)
Author's Response: Gina Thank you so much. Others have suggested that I write a Lily story, too. Perhaps I will, but Ill need inspiration to strike first. I suspect that, though hell try very hard to be fair to his kids, Lily will be Harrys favourite and hell finally discover why Ron is so protective of his little princess. Im beginning to see the glimmerings of a story -N-
I've really liked these Potter family stories, and I hope there are more to come!
Author's Response: Im trying to write a sequel to Grave Days, but these stories keep coming to me. So thats a definite, perhaps, then (-: -N-
