it's not just that your story's really ..thrilling (I don't know if I'm getting the right words, I am German (in fact Austrian)) and gripping and all, but it's HOW you write...! The way you use words to transfer feelings to make me feel eyactly like the protagonist! Your words don't just describe the situations, thay somehow ARE the situations...they flow just like liquid, without edges...perhaps that sounds weird...but it's like Mark Twain said: "The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—it’s the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning. " And you always get theright word :-)
I think you should really take into consideration of becoming an author (if you have not yet)

I think that this story is what some of us HP fans wanted to happen. Life just couldn't be 'happily ever after'. Those 19 years had to be spiced up a little, and this is the author that did it.

wow. let me tell you right now, about five years ago, i read the first few chapters of this story ( i believe thats all you had up at that point) and i loved it. it really stuck with me. and then tonight i found it again and recognized it, and decided to read it again, ending included. You really are an amazing writer, and this is such an original plot! i just wated to let you know how much of an impact this story made on me that long ago and that it stayed with me for so long.
