I wonder who had the upper hand here? I'm sure Draco would like to think he does, but he's the one who wandered into Ginny's room. That's a little suspicious since his room is in the opposite direction. Draco thinks he's going to get to Harry but I think Ginny's going to get to Draco. Great chapter. I'm so glad I rediscovered your work.
Author's Response: It is /very/ suspicious, and you catch on quickly. ^_~ And, yes, no one really has the upper hand right now. Draco thinks he does, but it's actually someone or something else that does. You'll find out. ^_~ I'm going to upload one more chapter for this and then work on finishing the chapters for Shades. This way I tease you with Prelude (the chapters for this one become much MUCH longer after chapter 6) but satisfy you with Shades. I wish I could upload faster on here. =( Oh, well. Thanks so much for reading. (I'm glad you rediscovered my work too. I love your reviews). ^^

fantastic. I love the way you start your stories they really grab your attention right at the begining. Shades of grey is one of my favorites also so keep up the excellent work and definatly keep writing
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm really happy that you like how I start off my stories. Shades is great, but Prelude is my favourite. Shades, in my opinion, starts off very strong though. Prelude is the type of story that just gets longer and better. ^_~ I shall post ASAP. Thanks again. ^^

Prelude to an Affair was a great title. I liked the surprise. I was sure the dream was really happening--so when it turned out they were both dreaming--well, I didn't expect that. The only confusing part was that in the dream, Ginny was serving a detention for Slughorn? How did he get into the story? I went back and reread--it was just a little confusing, not detracting. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Oh, sorry for the confusion. She's serving the detention because she mouthed off to Snape, but she was serving it in the dungeons (in the Potions room). I had originally wrote this in 2003 and Snape was still Potions professor, so I tried to fix it up. Snape decided to punish her by making her do Potions work. Typical Snape, even though he's the DADA Prof now. In the end, it doesn't matter since it was a dream. Lol. Hopefully, the chapters will be posted quickly. ^_^

So I just want to say that I really like this story so far. It is really good. It seemed so belieable, why they were together. Then making it just a dream was better. The characterization of both of them is excelent too.
This story is really good so far. I'm excited to see what happens next between them. :D
Author's Response: Thank you very much. ^_^ I am very glad that you find it believable. I promise that it will get more exciting and action-filled as it goes along. It is a Romance/Mystery with some humour in it too. ^_^ I also try to keep it as canon as possible. ^^ Thanks again. I shall update it as soon as they let me.
