Chapter: Chapter Thirteen: Men of Few Words

Okay, so who is Neville seeing that his friends would not approve of? Did I miss that? - it's past midnight I'll have to re-read this tomorrow. And I am getting the feeling there is more to Luna than meets the eye.
Also, why do you have to edit for sexual content? There are stories on here that are a LOT more explicit than yours and you do have the Professor rating on the story.

Author's Response: I was made to edit it for sexual content. Lol. I dunno. I assumed anything NC-17 rated would allow a tad bit of smut but ... yeah. I think it's always up to the discretion of the mod, plus it says in the rules that it cannot be sexually explicit.

As for Neville, he's not seeing anyone. He just sees what others do not--he has seen Ginny sneaking out of her room at night and her interactions with Draco. I just wanted to make him an observant boy. ^_^ And Luna is very observant too--sometimes too observant.

Chapter: Chapter Twelve: More Questions Than Answers

I am really enjoying your story. Keep up the wonderfully long chapters and the quick updates.

Author's Response: I am really happy that you are enjoying the story. The chapters are, indeed, long. Most are over 10K so I have to edit them to submit here. Lol. ^_^ Another chapter is in queue.

Chapter: Chapter Twelve: More Questions Than Answers

I'm sure you think you're pretty funny about now:P I think you're pretty clever. In some ways, Blaise is really starting to creep me out. He's showing up at the strangest times out of the shadows. He managed to startle even Dumbledore. I've always thought that Snape was on top of things but he seems to have no clue as to what's going on. I'm especially curious about what Luna knows and what her relationship is with Blaise. How much is Blaise really manipulating Draco and Ginny? What is he going to "speed up?" Who did he swear an oath to? Interesting that Pansy walked in at just the right time. I think Ginny's showing that she's a force to be reckoned with. It's interesting that all of the things that JKR had happening in the 6th book are still happening but there are way more complicated events going on in the background. Draco has got to be one smart boy if he's dealing with all of Voldemort's demands, school, and Blaise. I'd have fallen apart long ago. I guess that's why I'm just a muggle:D Great chapter.

Author's Response: It seemed fitting that the title of this chapter was what you said in your last review. ^_~ I am a cheeky bugger. You are always so astute. Blaise should be creeping you out. It's hard to explain his personality without revealing the mystery, but, needless to say, he does /not/ want to be there, and he is extremely resentful of Dumbledore. You will also find out who he (Morpheus) swore the oath to, why, and what is the oath. Hint: the dreams are part of the oath. When you find out what Dumbledore wants "sped up" you might get a little miffed and actually feel some empathy for Blaise and others. You are right about Snape too--he is an astute man himself, and he will figure out what is going on in the next few chapters. ^_^ You're right about many other things you mentioned in here too, but I will leave you guessing. ^_~ Oh, and I am very flattered that you find this first book is following JKR's HBP (albeit with quite a few twists going on in the background). The second book will follow DH, but it will take place at the school (events we have never been privy to), so I plan to have a lot of fun with it. Thanks again for your awesome reviews.

Chapter: Chapter Eleven: Someone Worth Saving

Although you did answer a few questions you raised many more. I really enjoyed the interplay between Morpheus and Dumbledore. Morpheus seemed to believe that he should be respected and Dumbledore was treating him like he was anyone else. Putting a god inside a teenaged boy was a creative idea--sometimes those boys think they're gods anyway:D In the Death Eater scene I interchanged Lucius and Draco until Draco said that he had let his mother live. I chuckled when Draco had feelings of jealousy when he thought of Ginny with Harry. He was trying to say that he didn't want Ginny but he didn't want anyone else to have her either. A strange chapter, but very good. Can't wait for the next one.

Author's Response: Yeah, I'm a stinker like that: answering some questions while posing more. You'll see that in the next few chapters too. Heh. As for Morpheus, he is a rather interesting character, and you will see an even more intriguing side in the second book. The whole Blaise/Morpheus dynamic will also be explained. Hopefully I can do it the justice it deserves. Morpheus is probably my most favourite character in both books. As for my Death Eater scene, I expected everyone to assume it was Lucius killing Draco--originally, I wrote "That's why I allowed Mother to live", but then I figured readers might still be confused so I put "my mother". There will be more dreams and "flash-forwards" in the second book. I'm really glad you're still liking the story. It's going to be one of those epic ones--very long. Oh, and Draco's jealousy issues /are/ extremely amusing. He won't admit that he likes Ginny--he'll even go to say that he dislikes her, but he doesn't want anyone else to be with her. Lol. ^^

Chapter: Chapter Ten: Kismet

But, is Draco dreaming? I think he's getting a little paranoid or maybe a lot paranoid. There is still something strange about Blaise. I don't think Blaise and Morpheus are one and the same. (But, I'm usually wrong when I guess.) I also think Ginny is protesting too much. She can't admit that she's attracted to Draco. He can't admit that he's attracted to her either. So, where am I? In the first place, I'm not ready to buy that Blaise and Morpheus are one and the same. Secondly, I think Draco and Ginny are somehow tied together through some ancient, possibly blood, magic that neither one knows about. Someone else, I'm not sure, is manipulating them. As always, great chapter. I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: Let me just say you are right about some things and wrong about others (or at least you're not quite right). AS for Draco and Ginny not admitting that they're attracted to one another--that stems from both the dreams (thinking that someone is messing with them--making them feel this way), and what I mentioned in the first chapter: pride. They are both very obstinate and proud creatures those two; however, they will soon move from infatuation to a real type of friendship. While I move their relationship much quicker in this story then say Shades, they have a lot of yo-yo action in Prelude, a lot of back-and-forth. You will learn more about Blaise and Morpheus in the next chapter. I think it may become easier to connect the dots in the next few chapters. I will say that Draco and Ginny do have more in common than dreams, and there is more than one person manipulating "them". ^_^ --Thanks so much for your reviews, and I'm really glad you're liking this one. ^^ ~Lia

Chapter: Chapter Nine: Revelations

I thought your "intimate" scenes were pretty good. These are students you're writing about so we don't want to get too explicit. Intimacy is so relative, like anything else. What's racy to one person is not necessarily racy to another. I'm writing my own fan fiction right now and there are places where I can write intimate scenes and I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with that. I'm not sure I have it in me:D Drunk Ginny was pretty funny. I don't know what to think of Blaise. I think there's more there than meets the eye and that he's no ordinary wizard. I thought that the potion DNA test didn't tell whose blood it was but who the parents are??? Come to think of it I'm not sure my theory makes sense. Great chapter.

Author's Response: If you remember in the previous chapters, Ginny and Luna come up with a variation potion/spell of the paternity test. She found a way to find out whose blood it is. Clever girls, nay? :) Don't worry if you didn't catch it; it would have been one of the things I would have skimmed over as well. Lol! As for my intimate scenes, originally they had not been graphic in the sense that they had sex but rather, I was being very suggestive with my words. Lol. I love the word "erection". :P I am not one to write smut: I do, however, have a series and a few one-shots that were written for friends. Ah, what I do for my mates. ;P I know how you feel though--it makes you feel rather uncomfortable. If you need any help, let me know. ^^

Chapter: Chapter Eight: Under Pressure

Blaise again:) That boy is still showing up at the oddest times. Draco’s jealousy is so cute and he doesn’t even realize it. And, is Blaise trying to make Draco jealous. It’s too bad they can’t do a DNA test the muggle way. I guess I’m just anxious to find out whose blood’s really on Draco’s robes. I can’t believe Ginny’s kept Draco’s robes for this long. I guess there are things she doesn’t realize either. What’s interesting is that whole thing with the journal. I can see Lucius doing something to Ginny but not to his only son, the Malfoy heir. Who was the mysterious boy who warned Draco about the journal? Was it the same person Dumbledore was talking to in the infirmary? I don’t expect that you’ll answer these questions. They’re just things I’m thinking about as I read. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Always Blaise! Always. You will begin to question who I love more: Blaise or Draco. Lol. Draco's jealousy is adorable, and, yes, he doesn't realise it, which makes it all the more cute! I won't answer your questions here, but I promise that the majority of them will be answered in the first book (the first book has 14 chapters, and from Chapter 7 on, they are all long, 20-25 pages). ^_^ Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. ^_^

Chapter: Chapter Seven: Let's Find Out

I don't want to put you under any pressure but each chapter gets better and better. I loved how you brought Snape in--of course you had to so he could heal Draco--but at first it was as if it was Draco thinking about the red-headed Ginny--but it was Severus thinking of Lily. Also, there was the reference later to Severus and Lily during Snape's discussion with Dumbledore. I hope that wasn't an omen of what will happen to Draco and Ginny. I sat here gasping (I'm a noisy reader) when Draco woke up in the infirmary and Ginny was there--and he was saying all those very seductive things to her. I chuckled when Blaise had to come to the rescue and snog Ginny in the corner to hide her from the Slytherin hags. Of course, Blaise came to the rescue--I still think there's something odd going on with that boy:D And, who is this Morpheus character--believe it or not my first thought was "Is he a vampire?" I don't know why but that thought flitted through my brain. I take it Ginny changed the password to Draco's room somehow and he happened to be thinking along the same lines and got into his own room. I didn't blame them for wondering if they were dreaming and then to find out they were actually making out on Draco's bed:P Great chapter.

Author's Response: No pressure, huh? Thanks. Lol. I'm glad you're liking the story as it goes along. It does start out slow, but each chapter gets to be a bit more exciting, a bit funnier, and a bit longer. Plus, I begin to introduce more characters, such as Snape. I love Snape. And I like to trick you into whose voice you will be reading. :P For the most part, the PoV will only be either Ginny or Draco's; however, as the story progresses, you will also see the view point of 3 other characters, who will become intrinsic to the plot of the 1st and 2nd book. ^_^

So are you loving Blaise? Blaise become a very amusing character, and I absolutely love writing him. Morpheus is also a very interesting character, and you will learn more about him in Chapter 10. Answers will come soon -- not all, but many. ^_^

Chapter: Chapter Six: The Wager

I really loved this chapter. Harry's character is being interpreted very differently. The words are the same but it's very different--probably because Ginny is over Harry and a lot of this is from Draco's point of view. It was like Harry was itching for a fight and not really to protect Ginny. The blood test sounded very interesting. Just whose parents will show up in the results? Excellent chapter. I can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: I get so giddy when I read your reviews. ^_^ You are right, once again. This was primarily seen through Draco's eyes, so as much as I love Harry, this is how Draco sees him ... which can be quite humorous at times. ;) Will the blood test reveal anything? Maybe ... maybe it will confirm some issues for both sides. New chapter coming soon. ~Lia

Chapter: Chapter Five: Going Mad

This is really strange--as I'm sure it is meant to be. I'm really starting to wonder about Blaise. It's almost like he's possessed and I don't know why I say that. I have this unsettled feeling that he's somehow behind some of the things that are happening to Draco and Ginny. I think I'm supposed to be wary of Draco and Ginny but things are happening to them. And, I'm not sure anymore if they're dreaming or experiencing reality. It sounds like they're not sure either. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Yes, the story is rather confusing at times, but not too much so. It will take a long time for everything to be fully explained, but you will receive answers along the way. Blaise a suspicious character? No. :P Ginny and Draco don't know what's going on, and the question really is about whether or not these dreams are reality or illusion. I promise you will find out. ^_^ Thanks so much for reviewing.

Chapter: Chapter Four: Bloody Robes, Bloody Confusing

Hmm, interesting. Blaise is somehow involved in having to inform both Draco and Ginny that it's Saturday, not Friday. Both Draco and Ginny seem to have slept through Friday--or put in a hard night's sleeping on Friday night. I hate it when I wake up and think I can sleep in when it's a work day or I wake up early and it's a week end. I hate having to get up. I usually have to tempt myself with fan fiction:D A couple of really interesting things occurred. Blaise brought Draco's robes back to him and they had dirt and blood around the collar. What are dreams and what's real? I also found it interesting how you described Harry. Ginny was out there trying to fulfill two Qudditch positions in case Harry wasn't around for some reason, although it was sarcastically noted that Harry would play the last game because he usually was finished with any of his battles by that time. I smiled at that. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Hehe, this is one of those stories that starts out a little slow and gets better. I'm glad you are liking it so far though. Starting around Chapter 7, the length of the chapters start to get very long. Lol. ^_^ Thanks.

Chapter: Chapter Three: Desperation

I realized the first part (with Tom) was a dream but I thought the second part with Ginny and Draco was actually happening. I guess I could see her dreaming and sleepwalking and it made sense that Draco could discover her and "rescue" her. Your last paragraph was very intriguing. Can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: This one is a real mystery with lots of twists and turns. I think I will finish posting Shades before I start posting more of this one. Unfortunately, they only allow me to post one story at a time, and it can take days to be approved. =( So you may have to wait a bit for this story. Don't worry though, it is very long. ^_^
