ahhh please update..i just spent the last hour and a half reading straight through this story.
For your writing, all i can say is that it's exquisite and I absolutely adore it without reason. That sounded a bit sketchy but there you go.

Author's Response: No, I should be updating this within a few weeks--by the end of May at the latest. I'm currently working on three other chaptered fics at the same time (silly me), but Prelude it my baby. The next chapter is about 95% written. It's a big one since it's the end of the first book. That was very interesting. I was fascinated with Neville's viewpoint. He's so quiet but as the saying goes "still waters run deep." Describing him as an observer was very appropriate. He's watching and learning and we'd probably be surprised at what he knows. It was very interesting that he had been watching Ginny (aww, one of his first loves) and actually confronted her by saying he knows she was wearing Slytherin robes and sneaking off to Draco's at night. Also very interesting was Luna's conversation with Blaise. He was obviously startled by her knowledge that he was a god. While her evidence was concrete I didn't find it real compelling--it was almost like she had a 6th sense of what he was but didn't realize it. I think this just shows the power of observation. You can learn so much by watching and quietly analyzing. I smiled at the familiarity between Ginny and Draco. They seemed so comfortable on the couch--enough so she could put her feet in his lap and he could rest his hands on her legs. The entire chapter was fascinating but I focused on what I found to be the most interesting. Great chapter.
Author's Response: You will see more of Neville in the next chapter and the second book. The main characters are Draco and Ginny, obviously, but Snape, Luna, Blaise, and Neville end up becoming big parts of this story. Luna and Neville are both observant, but Luna is also strikingly brilliant, being able to see into the minds and hearts of people. Originally, I had a flashback sequence that explained how Luna figured out who Blaise was, but I decided to insert something along those lines into the second book, as to not detract from the central characters. I already have decided to write a few chapters dedicated to certain PoVs, so this may help clarify how Luna knew. And, yes, Draco and Ginny are becoming quite comfortable with one another, which is rather cute. ^_^ All good things, however, must come to an end, and you might not be as satisfied with the next chapter, which is the last one for the 1st book.
