Aw that was so good! Not something that I would choose to read randomly given the sexual content but I'm so glad I read it! Thank you so much!

Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, I can't believe I included sexual content either. Hehe. Luckily it was nothing to explicit. :P

Hey! I totally loved your book! It was quite engrossing. You do have some er vivid scenes, but it wasn't just a typical horny fanfic about the two main characters making out. I really liked your storyline and how you wove events that happened in the book into your own story and made it work flawlessly. I also appreciated that there wasn't too much random coincidence and everything made sense. It's hard to do that when you're doing fanfic and I think you did a really good job. I can't wait to read the second book!

Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's always challenging to write a Trio-era fic. I'd much rather write post-Hogwarts; however, this book was really just a set up for book two, which I have free reign with for the most part since DH never featured what happened at the school (besides Ginny getting in trouble for trying to steal Godric Gryffindor's sword) until the end. :D Oh, and I'm glad everything made sense. ^_~ Cheers!

I loved this. Have you written the next book yet?

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. ^__^ The second book isn't written yet. I kind of got sidetracked with work and another fandom. However, this is my number one priority once I've completed my WIP. :D

loved loved this fanfiction, I love your character for Zambini, hes strangely always been one of my favorite slytherins, and you made me love him even more! also Draco and Ginny are my favorite characters of all of Harry Potter and I think you did a marvelous job with them too. But I think the best thing about this fanfiction, is how you used so many other characters point of view :) Can't wait for the next one :)

Author's Response: Aww, thank you. I'm really glad you liked this. Blaise is one of my favourite characters, too. ^^ I should hopefully have the next book up soon. I want to have it finished before I start posting it. ^^ Thanks again!

gr8 story cant w8 4 the second book tho u cud maybe focus a bit moa on the ginny/draco relationship but i like the fact that you covered so many characters and their stories also i think ginny cud b a bit less angry keep it up! ;)

Author's Response: Thank you. :) The second book will focus on Draco and Ginny's relationship more, as well as the dreams they share. There's still plenty of mysteries to be solved. As for Ginny's temper, well... you know, she's a redhead. ;)

Overall this was a really well-written and entertaining story. The use of Morpheus was a little weird though. It made it less believable and for me, personally, turned me off the story for a little while. I think that using a "magical bond" in some way would've been better

Author's Response: Thank you. Unfortunately, I really wanted a god element in this because it's appropriate for the second book, and I understand that you don't like that particular AU aspect of it. However, the magical bond still applies - and all magic (in my story) originates from the gods. Just be glad that Morpheus is the only one I've introduced as a main character. ^_~ Thanks again!

i dont know if you realize this or not, but you are an AMAZING writer! i was hanging on every word you wrote. this has to be by far one of my favorite fan fics i ever read. to tell you the truth i was never really i big fan of ginny & draco but let me tell you, you made me a fan! i spend the last three days ignoring my homework and reading this. i truly cannot wait until you write the second book! keep up the good work

Author's Response: Aww, you are just too sweet. You're going to give me a swollen head. Hehe. I'm really glad that you like the story, and I'm trying my best to have at least half of book 2 written before posting. Methinks it's going to be longer than the first, which was just over 100K. Yikes! Thanks again, love. ^_^

Chapter: Chapter One: In Its Simpliest Terms

First, I have to say that this is probably the longest review I have ever written, longer than any book reports I did back in HS :). I usually like to comment through the chapters but this time I couldn’t do so due to my lack of internet time, so I apologize and please if you feel like quitting reading this, don’t think I’m going to be hurt or anything.

Moving on, I’ll confess I printed chapter by chapter (then again, for the first time in my life) and I actually took side comments so I could remember what I liked or what I didn’t( though that wasn’t as much) and that shows how much I liked or should I say I LOVED this story!!. And it took me long enough to finish it.

It started with a great beginning… it hooked me up with the “vocabulary lesson” which I thought it was a different way to approach the story. I loved how you built up and held mystery and intrigue from page 1, rising slowly and discreetly but surely making it more exciting trying to figure out how it’s going to unravel, though it didn’t quite solve itself throughout the story which it’s a good thing because I’ll have to read Book2 (not that I wasn’t going to, even if the mystery was solved)

I could not imagine how very difficult it should have been for you to write a HP story and wanted to make it closer to the canon without, as you said in the final A/N, really committing plagiarism, but during the story the usage of those slightly altered canon facts made it run smoothly, making it more real to me. I have come to admire you for what you’ve done here… you really pulled it off!

I loved the way Draco called her “Ginevra”, I could picture him drawling her full name and it sounded so sexy in my head!! And even though sometimes (more often than not) I knew they were just sharing their dreams together, the sexual tension and the way to display it took me back to when I was 15-ish and started to fell those strong arousals without really knowing what to do about them :)

Ginny’s strength and weaknesses were shown at the same time: she stood up for herself but deep inside, she was scared to death, which applied to Draco as well. She played herself just as any good Gryffindor and Draco just as I imagined him to be when he was at Hogwarts. She was not just clever but she was also passionate about what she does.

Draco’s contradictions on his actions during the predicament he felt was unnervingly scary and accurate, his relation with Ginny was the kind that was going to be openly judge and morally criticized by bystanders (AKA family and friends) and that led them to hurt one another without even wanting or even without even trying and deep down inside they felt they didn’t belong together.

Luna was just being Luna though I’ve always considered JK didn’t make her justice in the canon as many of the FF stories have tried and make a great character out of her. She played a great deal in this story too and it was more subtle and deceiving than Blaise’s. She is smarter than one can get from the canon and I have come to think that the problem (in the canon) is that no one around her ever realized she was.

Neville was sheer Gryffindor bravery and nobility locked up in a shell, and though he tried he was never able to show it due to his very big problem of shyness, but he is one of the most spectacular characters you’ve taken to make it as real as it can be, I loved the way you portrayed him. Being brave as he could and noble as any other Gryffindor should. He’d been through a lot in his younger years and yet he tried to stand up for himself and his principles. He is a loyal and true friend both in the story and in the canon. I thought he was trying to prove himself to the rest and at the end he did but It took him a great deal to show what he was capable of.

All the way up to chapter 9th I had a hunch that Mr. Zabini was involved in the plot more than it met the eyes and I was glad I was right down the way!! It was very subtle at first but then as the story developed I got more and more reassured of it. He had been Draco’s best friend and they’d known each other for the best part of their lives and as you made it known has been long before even Draco himself realized which proved to be the most effective mean to achieve his purposes. It was a bit complicated to follow up at some point because the plot got thicker but in the end was beautifully outlined, I could never imagine Blaise as a god and I have read a fair cut of FF stories involving him even one with him as a girl.

Now, I have a question that probably you can solve in the next book (I hope), what was that oath Zabini swore to Dumbledore that made him so cryptic about? Why was he trying to protect both Ginny and Draco? This seems to hang in the story the whole time.

The duel scene between Ginny and Draco was amazingly written. I could see through their mixed feelings and how they are forced to hurt one another (as I said earlier).

The lockers shower scene (Draco coming to hide in them) was hilarious and sexy as well and I could understand Ginny’s fury and her actions afterwards in that situation, the only thing one could think of doing is revenge, even though it can get backfired and one is bound to end up embarrassing oneself just as it happens in the scene.

One of the most heartbreaking scenes I’ve come across was the “break up” (so to speak). Deep down I knew it was to happen and it was meant to but still. I felt Ginny’s heartache and Draco’s pain, but Draco is forced to do what he has to do and it’s too hard for him to explain her or make her understand for that matter what is going on and Ginny is (to me as you portrayed her in this scene) a Black and White girl and though she must try and save him she has to do what she feels is right even though it means to let him go and get hurt in the process.

The other most heartbreaking scene (I should say chapter) is Dumbledore’s death. The angst Draco feels during the days prior to complete his assignment got under my skin as I read it again in your story as it did when I read it in the canon, you made all the feelings come back magnificently. Draco was 16-ish and he was asked to become Dumbledore’s assassin and I could think of what he must have felt like. I mean, he has an incredibly big burden on his shoulders and that must have worked him off. To me, he has no other option though Dumbledore wants him to think he has, he is a man to keep his word and he tries to endure his internal struggle which is tangible through the whole chapter. And then there was the Dumbledore’s actual death which brought me to tears (both here and in the canon), you did a wonderful job during this particular scene and it must have been so hard to put it on but I’m sure that it could not have been the hell of the story it is if it didn’t have it.

“Like Severus, Draco had no safety net and also like Severus he had lost his chance at love, at connecting with someone on a level that he had never thought possible. Draco hadn’t just lost a headmaster and a home that he had known for the past six years, he had lost hope” – this was a remarkable phrase and it made me think that Draco and Severus shared more personal traits than they had known and I thought you outlined it just right because they did seem to share quite a few.

Last but not least I loved your tinny insinuation about Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson, who I have loved both since I read all their canon stories.

Finally, and if you made it this long thanks!! This is “The Prelude” of course; I should have figured that they weren’t going to make it in this one; otherwise you wouldn’t have “The Affair” right? Hopefully (and rightfully) they’ll be together in that one. I cannot wait to read it!!

Author's Response: Holy amazing review! Wow, your review is longer than most chapters! Hehe. I'm really flattered that you took the time to read and review my story so carefully. You really paid attention to all the small details, and I love it. You are right about everything. I did drop subtle hints along the way but not too subtle that a bright mind wouldn't be able to pick up on some of the mysteries and clues.

Now, I have a question that probably you can solve in the next book (I hope), what was that oath Zabini swore to Dumbledore that made him so cryptic about? Why was he trying to protect both Ginny and Draco? This seems to hang in the story the whole time.

You are right that these questions will be answered in book 2 and they have so much to do with the story as whole and the dreams - and even their discussion about Horcruxes, Magical Bondage, etc. Needless to say, it involves very old magic and when you find out what Dumbledore wanted from Blaise, you will be shocked. I'll leave it at that for now. But I will say that Blaise will end up revealing everything and something drastic will happen... to Morpheus.

And you are so very right about the first book being the "prelude" and the second being the "affair". The connotation behind the "affair" may be surprisingly, but it is very apt. I have dropped some clues in the first book about what will happen in the second, and a lot of them have to do with the "dreams", so the dream aspect will definitely resurface in the second book, which I am writing at the moment. ^_^

So thank you so much for an awesome and lovely review. You have really made my day. If you have any more questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you, again, and have a wonderful day. ^_^
