The ending is very sweet, much different than the other version. Even though I read this ending, I'm still reading the sequel, because I found out I really like angsty stuff.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm happy you liked it, but I'm also glad you're going to read the sequel. :)

I LOVE this ending a millions times more :D And I ADORED this story. I love Drco/Hermione pariring and this was the best one I'v read (And trust me, I'v read alot) I read this in one sitting because I just couldn't put it away! My eyes are blood-shot haha! So let me just ge this all straight? It was Channing feeding Voldemort information, right? And Draco never did? I was just double checking because MAN I wanted to beat Channing to a pulp :) After the sequel is finished I'm going to start reading it because I hate clliffhangers haha! You should make a fan-fic on when they're married or something or what happens after the alternate ending! Just for me? :P
Anyway, LOVED it and thanks so much for the whole damn thing ( 42 chapters? Wow! You are quite the talent :) )

Author's Response: Draco did feed Voldemort information - both he and Channing did. That's why he was sent to Azkaban. But I'm glad you liked this ending! Thanks so much for the review!!

i liked this ending mainly because its a happy ending (well kinda, he did still betray her). the only problem is how harry defeated Voldermort. what he just pointed at him and he died? it should have been a bit more dramatic, felt kinda lazy like you just wanted to get him defeating Voldermort out of the way and not really care how, as this isnt the proper ending. or maybe theres a symbolic meaning here that i'm missing? andway other than that one point this was well written and enjoyable. thought i much prefer the other ending as it provoked a lot more feeling. but keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Harry was meant to perform a very powerful sort of wandless magic to kill Voldemort. He threw his wand away, remember? And a wand is a wizard's main (and sometimes only) way of channeling his/her power. The fact that Voldemort still had Ginny (reneging on his promise to let her go) snapped something inside Harry and gave him this crazy power that was enough to stop Voldemort in his tracks, despite not having a wand. So lazy? Perhaps, but it was not without reason. :) Thanks for the review!

That was beautiful.

And I must say, it was a lot happier than the other ending!

Awh, that was a very adorable ending.
I'm still reading the sequel, but I was curious about your alternate ending, so I went and read this. I've enjoyed both, so far, as you write well.

Author's Response: Thank you! I battled with myself over whether or not I wanted to do a sequel for a while, so this alternate ending was the perfect way to flesh out both of my ideas. :)

I love the way The Resilient is going, but I'm very happy with this alternate ending. The general feeling is a bit rushed, but the resolution makes sense. I was really able to feel their anguish when they were separated and it was terrible. I've never really felt strong emotions when reading a fanfic, but this one is so intense, it draws me in every time :)
Even though I get that warm, fuzzy feeling from this alternate ending, I can't wait for the rest of The Resilient because I feel as though it's a more realistic ending to the story.
Thanks for being such an awesome writer ^_^

Author's Response: I sometimes have problems with epilogues/last chapters (see "The Reminder" for very clear evidence of this...), so it's good to hear that I still have work to do. I tried to slow this one down a bit, if that makes sense. I'll try a little harder next time. :)

I'm so happy that you feel connected to my story. My favorite fictions are the ones which make me gasp/cry/laugh/yell, so that's a very dear compliment. Thank you so much!!

Do you know when you will be posting the actual sequal? I enjoyed the first one and I want to find out what really happens next,

Author's Response: The actual sequel is being posted as I type. It's called, "The Resilient" and you can find it under my author's profile page doo-dad. :)

Author's Response: Haha, understandable! Thanks for reading, anyway!

I'm really glad you wrote an alternate ending! It's fantastic! Although I'm waiting for more on The Resilient, I was glad to hear more from you. Your stories are written amazingly.
