Chapter: Flying Over Memories

Wow, this is an amazingly fresh concept.Harry Potter as a granddad!Never imagined our favorite hero to be so!Emotional and nostalgic all the way with just the right amount of rememberances. And you're right-Harry did spend too much of his time being strong and resilient for everyone-and it was time when he had to give into his feelings.Keep on writing, you're already a tantalizing author!!!

This was a really sweet story, I loved it. A nice idea to have his granddaughter help him get over something like this. It was also sad, having him the last to be alive of his friends, but effective in this story. Good job!

This was a very touching story. Seeing a grandparent mourn their losses is a struggle for grandchildren, so I loved how you portrayed Ginny. I know my grandma will never replace her dog, but she delights in spoiling my dog! A+ for bringing on the tears and smiles.

Author's Response: I'm honored that you were touched by my story!

"with tears streaming down his face"

diddo, harry, same here :(:(:(:(:(

Author's Response: I hope I made you cry for the right reasons! Assuming so, thank you for the compliment!

I hadn't read your story when you made that post in the Tower, so I decided to check it out :D

I rather like this. It's short, but displays enough emotion to get the message across. I thought Harry was a bit OOC at times, but that's just because you're writing a much different Harry than in the books.

All in all, it was very enjoyable, and would never put me in a bad mood :D Instead, it brought a smile to my face, so thank you for that :D

PS- I really like the title, too- it fits the story nicely.

Author's Response: Whew! I'm glad my writing didn't wreck your day! I was also a little worried that Harry was a bit OOC myself, but I decided that since it was just a little one-shot that I wouldn't stress out about it. I'm glad that despite the characterization, I managed to bring a smile to your face. That's exactly what I was going for when writing the story. Thank you so much for the review -- it means so much that you took the time to tell me what you thought.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so awesome!! And sweet. :-)

Minor Nitpick:

“What was that for?” Harry demanded angrily. “You think you broke one of the bishops!”

Should it be "I" think you broke one of the bishops?

I love this story. Good job!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you loved the story! I'll try to fix the nitpick, but we'll see what happens. My computer and MNFF don't get along too well.

I've never thought about Harry as an old man before, and it broke my heart. I think you did a good job with him; I can see him refusing to replace Hedwig. Anyways, good job.

Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely review. I'm glad you can see him refusing to replace Hedwig, because it was when I was thinking about how Harry would grieve for Hedwig that I got the idea for this story.
