That was a good moment to write about. You have a knack of writing compact one shots, and this was again, another short but pleasant read. Dean is one of my favourite characters, and I can't wait to read his bio in The Scottish Book. You really did justice to him, and the ending was perfect!

Author's Response: Thank you again! I really think that Dean is an under served character. I will now admit that it is my goal to write a one-shot like these for every letter of the alphabet. Look for the "R" soon!

The whole thing with Deans father was a bit confusing to me, I'm not sure if this was supposed to disregard the seires, but Rowling never mentions Deans father, real or not, coming back. So who's the man in his home?

Author's Response: She did say there was a step-father. That was the man who Dean thought of as his father. Sorry if it was confusing.

Awesome job. I like the premise of this story, Dean's characterizatin, and the characterization of his family. I also like how you leave a sort or air of mystery at the end, because the reader has no idea where Dean ends up, or what will happen to him until the part mentioned in DH. good job. :-)
