Chapter: Falling Off Tables

I love how you had her attacked by Greyback :) Even before the movie came out.

Author's Response: Well, she was attacked in the book by Greyback, but I refuse to believe she was killed >:-( Thank you. ~Carole~

I never liked Cho, but I'm guessing you like her for the same reason I like Lav, we only see on side of them and we think there's more. This was a very good characterization of the two of them. Honestly I'm a Seamus/Lavender shipper but this was also awesome :)
Keep writing!
~S

Author's Response: Oh thank you. I don;t mind Cho. I'm more of a Lavender fan, because like you I think she's been dealt a bad hand by fanfiction. (Honestly, what teenage girl doesn't go a bit mushy over a boy?). Generally, though, I ship Lavender/Blaise with a good old Seamus as her friend. Dean was written as her bf long before I discovered my secret love for all things Blaise, though. (Lavender-blue, A Gryffindor True - is my Lav/Blaise fic if you're interested.) If you want to read another of my Lavender fics (and this time she is with seamus) then try Kissing The Joy as it Flies. I shall stop pimping my own fics now - ha ha. Thanks for the review. ~Carole~

Teeheehee. That was so cute. Cho has always intrigued me as a character. We only saw one side of her in the series, really, and I've been sure there's so much more to her. This was such an interesting story, with wonderful characterization. The ending was really sweet too. Yay!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I like Lavender as well as Cho. Both come in for rather a lot of abuse from fanfictioneers, so I like to redress the balance occasionally. Glad you liked the story ~Carole~

Chapter: Falling Off Tables

ah, Carole, I dont tknow why I wondered who won the challenge. It was a great fic! and why do you like lavender so much? I mean, you have two fics about her... just wondering...
well, I am going to use this for the Deans corner September Challenge-so we can finally beat you :P
good job (:

Author's Response: I think Lavender gets a bad rap. Ron wasn't exactly comnplaining when they played tonsil hockey (Actually I have three fics about her now!). Hmm, Gryffs are certainly gunning for the cup this term aren't they - better get those puffs fired up again. hee hee. Thank you so much for the review and look forward to seeing the picture - ta carole

Nicely done! You took some minor characters, added depth to their characterization, and told an interesting story at the same time. My only quibble is your attributing farsightedness to "old age." That's mostly because I passed forty over a decade ago and I'm still firmly middle-aged.

Author's Response: It was tongue-in-cheek, having just been issued with my own pair of glasses and was feeling my age as I wrote - ha ha. Thanks for the review

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I have a sneaky liking for Lavender because she gets a bad rap from fanfiction writers. Poor girl - ha ha. ~Carole~
