I never liked Cho, but I'm guessing you like her for the same reason I like Lav, we only see on side of them and we think there's more. This was a very good characterization of the two of them. Honestly I'm a Seamus/Lavender shipper but this was also awesome :)

Author's Response: Oh thank you. I don;t mind Cho. I'm more of a Lavender fan, because like you I think she's been dealt a bad hand by fanfiction. (Honestly, what teenage girl doesn't go a bit mushy over a boy?). Generally, though, I ship Lavender/Blaise with a good old Seamus as her friend. Dean was written as her bf long before I discovered my secret love for all things Blaise, though. (Lavender-blue, A Gryffindor True - is my Lav/Blaise fic if you're interested.) Teeheehee. That was so cute. Cho has always intrigued me as a character. We only saw one side of her in the series, really, and I've been sure there's so much more to her. This was such an interesting story, with wonderful characterization. The ending was really sweet too. Yay!

Nicely done! You took some minor characters, added depth to their characterization, and told an interesting story at the same time. My only quibble is your attributing farsightedness to "old age." That's mostly because I passed forty over a decade ago and I'm still firmly middle-aged.
