omg omg omg plz write more ur awsome!!
whens the next update gonna be?? can't wait!
AWW!! This is so good!!! "Overall, Harry would definitely categorize this as the Merriest Christmas he had ever had." I love that line!!!!!!
I wanted to make on quick, specific note. Where you wrote, "'Oh please! I know she won’t,' Hermione scoffed," I don't think you needed the "I know she won't" part of it. That's contained in the "Oh please!" and it's Hermione's way of talking to people about things she thinks should be obvious to say as little as possible.
But more to story as a whole, I thought you really captured the spirit of the moment, the difficulty in anticipating that moment, and all the mixed emotions that went into it. I thought Hermione following Harry was a surprising but well-though-out turn of events. I really liked this take on the Harry to Ginny proposal.
I think that, again, you did a great job of capturing the emotion of what would be a difficult situation for anyone. My only qualm with it was Ron's reaction. Based on how long he's been best friends with Harry, how he reacted when Ginny and Harry first started going out, I think he'd be surprised, a little taken aback and protective at first, but I really think that he's given us every indication over the years that, after getting over the initial shock of the idea, something as wonderful as his best friend marrying his sister would make him really happy, not just accepting. I really liked your take on the rest of the family's reactions though. And again, I thought the overall tone and emotion of the piece was just great.
I really liked that, unlike so many other fanfiction stories about the time following the Second War, you don't have Harry living at the Burrow. While I'm fairly sure the Weasleys would have offered, I agree that Harry wouldn't have accepted if they did.
I'm going to put forth a guess that you're American, not British, because the bantering between Harry and Ginny in the kitchen has such a clearly American sense of humor to it, and a much more American choice of words. It's not a detriment to the story, it's just different than what I'm used to seeing from these characters. Overall, I thought that this first chapter was really well written.
I loved the story, very heart warming and sweet.
Wow I knew he would ask her and she would say yes, but it being lily's that was such an incredible surprise. I love it, will there be more? Please say there will be a sequel or more chapters!!!
Awwwwwwwwwww! What a picture perfect projection of Harry. I don't ever see him doing anything rehearsed or flashy. It was perfect. :-)
Excellent work.
WOOT! Go Harry!!! Thank you for starting a story for this blessed event...look forward to reading more.
