Chapter: Gone British

Oh, this was exactly what I needed to brighten up my day! Absolutely hilarious! I'm not a native English speaker,so I use online dictionaries to get it right; but the thing with dictionaries is that they're always lagging behind the actual language. Thanks to your story I was able to go back and correct what I assume is pretty dumb mistakes (like: I did actually use once "Bob's your uncle!" How embarrassing is that?!) Thanks for sharing your story! It's long since I needed a good laugh at myself :)

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear it brightened up your day. Yeah, dictionaries are always a few years behind... but now they have the word 'Muggle' in them, so I think that makes up for it :) And don't be embarrassed (especially since you're not a native speaker)! I know a couple people who still use that phrase, anyways :) Thank you for the awesome review!

Chapter: Gone British

ha ha! are you a british person who is fed up of people thinking they know how to use "briticisms" (as they call it) when they have no idea what they are doing?

you know i even got my fanfic rejected because they said my Briticisms weren't good enough? And I'm British!

You're short story was very funny.

:)

er....

Author's Response: I'm not fed up with the excess use of Briticisms, I just thought it was funny to have a hypothetical situation where a character/ author put WAY too many in :) -As in, every line had one- seriously? That's funny- and a bit odd?! Who knows 'British' better then Brits? Thanks for the review :)

Haha, lol. That was a very interesting fic! I liked the way you made the boy so... annoying. Good job! It was a really good depiction of people who try to use too much briticisms. Atleast now some people might try to lessen it a bit, *rolls eyes*. Anyways, awesome story. Keep it up!--Nadia

Author's Response: Thanks for the read-and-review Nadia. I'm glad you enjoyed it! ....Thomas... what can I say? :)

Chapter: Gone British

An excellent satire on Americans trying to sound British! All too often I notice misused words and phrases throughout stories, and this story was rather amusing. Good job!

Author's Response: Thank you :)
