Kudos for constructing a rather interesting plot and keeping the action moving without becoming maudlin. The issue of "friends in a relationship that turns badly" is not uncommon: you seem to have found a brief resolution to the conflict with Ron's running off. That being said, the bigger picture is yet to be seen...Hogwarts, The Burrow, the Weasley family, and Hermione's parents! Hope you work out the details in believeable ways! Good luck!

Hi, before saying anything else, I really liked your story, though initially I had a hard time getting used to Ron/Hermione's ship as the never-meant-to-be-one, after that it was really great and I didn't want it to end.

I noticed a few details in your story and i'd like to tell'em to you, if you're ok with it.

First, it appealed to me that, well obviously Ron and Hermione's relationship was not working because of her not feeling really comfortable with him. But what about HIS side of the story? I mean, I know he's suspicious and he's worried, but given the fact that he loves her so much I find it difficult to get that we don't get to see a lot of effort from him to make it work. Which takes me to the next point...

We're really taking in account all of the facts on the real series, only changing the way H&Hr feel....so I find it really weird to notice that Ron just gave her up so easily. I mean, Harry's his best pal and she is the woman he truly loves. Would you be willing to lose the one you love, specially in this case, so easily? Wouldn't you have fought for him/her until the very end? Even if the one you were fighting was your best friend??

And what was all the we-found-out-about-our-feelings-so-let's-hit-Ron-while-his-down?? I found it really selfish of Harry and Hermione to just ignore him and move on with their lives. After all his their best friend...

All of this I'm saying not to attack your story, which took me back to the beautiful years when I thought Harry and Hermione were meant to be together before Jo took the Ron/Hermione route, it's just my point of view. As much as I want them to be together, I think Ron should get a chance to, at least, hit Harry back for taking the love of his life away from him, even if she feels she never belonged there...but that's just me.

Other than that, I loved it. And I look forward to reading something else of your material, for I think you're a wonderful writer.

I apologize for taking so long to reply to your review. I obviously haven't been getting my email updates as to when I get reviews because I didn't know this was here until I happened to glance at my reviews tonight. I am currently working on chapter six and hopefully it will be on the site soon, though I will make no promises as to when. Every time I do, something in RL gets in my way and I miss the deadline I've set for myself. I agree with your points, and Ron isn't finished yet. I don't want to spoil the story for you, but to reassure you I will drop this one bit of information. Harry and Hermione are mildly caught up in the newness of being together. During which, not much is on their minds. However, they haven't forgotten about Ron. There will be a conversation between the two of them regarding him and his feelings. Harry at the moment is protective of Hermione, as he's always been, and that driving force in him, along with his anger, is keeping him from worrying about how Ron is feeling at this moment. That will all come crashing down on them eventually, and as much as I don't want to admit it, Ron will get his chance at Harry as well. It will be awhile before things level out for the trio, but I don't plan to just write Ron out of the picture all together. Over time they will all be friends again. I hope I haven't spoiled too much for you, but I just wanted to reassure you that I'm not trying to leave Ron out, or make him a weak character in my plot. I will admit that trying to write a Harmony fic that is canon through book seven has been difficult. I started writing this fic back in 2009 and the initial draft was literally just a spew of plot points all thrown haphazardly onto paper and then compiled into a document. I'm really taking my time rewriting to try and make something good come from the initial crap heap of ideas that I had all that time ago. I really appreciate reviews like this, and I'm really glad that you have enjoyed the story thus far. I hope that you'll hang around and keep reading, and please, feel free to keep the con-crit coming. I really do love it, because I truly think that it makes me a better author.
