Wow, this was written beautifully. I didn't notice the third-person narrative, it wasn't something that I had to overcome to beable to read the story- quite a feat!

I love how the "you" is unnamed, you did a fantastic job, and you developed a fantastic character- even without a name (I like it better that way). :P

The thing about the twins being copies of each other, though, is somewhat true, although I don't really agree. Fred and George are portrayed rather differentlly in books, but I like the second line- "complementary parts". A wonderful analogy. :D

Great job, this is going into my favourites! :D :D :D

That was really good!!!! I have been trying to write a fanfic for a long time but I never really get that far. But as I keep reading these fanfics, I realize that I would really love to do something on Fred and George. This made me " see the light". Thanks for inspiring me!

OHH! Chelsea, I've only just discovered this. Well, that's a lie. I'd heard it was good, but this is the first time I actually read it .. and it's wonderful. Your Hufflepuff is so real in this. We don't discover her name, but she is so alive. Well done! What I think I like best about this story is the fact that it's not a mushy type of fluffy love and the heroine admits that it's not really love. That is such an honest things to write.

Oh, a bitter, bittersweet love story,. heartrending, heartbreaking and just beautiful. Can't possibly enthuse anymore but it did make me cry. ~Carole~

Author's Response: ♥ Thanks, Carole! I don't know what to say, but *blushes*. I'm glad you liked it!

This was amazing. I was just searching the category for something interesting to read, came across this and just fell in love with it. Your writing style is nicely refined, you do not waste too many words which I sometimes find a problem with fanfics. Very well done. Five stars. This is officially one of my favourites, in fact I'm going to go add it right now!

Author's Response: Thank you, Julia! And thanks very much for the QSQ nomination, that was a huge and lovely surprise. I'm really glad you enjoyed this.

That was just...whoa. I can't say anything else. Words can't describe how completely wonderful that was.

I loved it! That was, by far, one of the best fics I have ever read. You are officially very awesome.

Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely review, Annmarie! :)

I really like this story. It was cute then it got sad. I like storys like that because I don't believe that storys have happy ending. This one proved that.

Author's Response: You're right, not all stories end happily. I enjoy writing things with dark tinges. Thanks for the review!

Chelsea! This was written beautifully. I usually don't read second person, mainly because I am never allowed to write it in school.

I found one mistake, but it's not big. When she, er, me, I think (?), lol, wakes up and asks "How do you do it?". You are missing the second 'do'. Other than that, fantastic!

Author's Response: Thank you, Allie! I'll fix that mistake up sometime, thanks for pointing it out. :D

Oh, Chels, that was absolutely wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever read a fic of yours before (a quick check of your author’s page suggests no), which isn’t very fair, considering how dear you are to me. So I apologise, and I’ll give you a review to make up for it. :D

Where do I start? This was amazing, really. Second person POV has always intrigued me, even though I’ve never written it myself, and I think you pulled it off just fantastically. The way you wrote the summary really pulled me in – that first line is so perfect, it captures the reader’s attention instantly. I think this story really suits second person; it has that intimacy that you just can’t reach with first or third.

Your characterisation of Fred was pretty much spot-on, in my opinion. Most writers can do Fred as he usually is – funny, sarcastic, always with George and pulling pranks. But you’ve really captured the very essence of his character; the darker side as well. How he knows what’s going on out there, and laughing is his way of coping with it. And you’ve put in the perfect touches of Gryffindor chivalry, too. :)

I loved the character of the girl, too (her name isn’t mentioned, is it?). I would have loved for you to expand on her, but then again, this fic couldn’t be any longer. It’s absolutely perfect as it is, and making it any longer or shorter would ruin it. But anyway, she just seems so right for Fred – the innocence, yet she seems to have a cheeky, daring side to her as well. She would have to, doing what she’s doing in the broom cupboard. ;)

You write beautifully; I love how you make your short, to-the-point sentences so eloquent. Your writing sort of reminds me of Kelly’s (who’s style I am insanely jealous of, I’ll point out), with how every single word seems to matter so much, and it’s so perfectly executed that nothing seems out of place. Love it, my dear. I can’t choose my favourite line, because they’re just all so amazing.

The dark undertone to this story is horribly depressing, but in a good way. You’ve captured the fear and worries of everyone around the time of the war brilliantly. It’s interesting how clearly you’ve expressed the point that Fred and the girl are not in love, they just understand each other. They just need someone to cling to in the dark times, someone who knows what they’re going through and can help them through it.

All in all, I don’t think I’ve read a better story in a long time, dearie. I can’t think of a single thing to point out that I don’t agree with, so you’ve done a very good job. :) Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you, dear. You are just too sweet. Aw, I keep reading this and finding hardly anything I can respond to other than to say... thank you, and I'm glad you liked it. Regarding the girl's character, no, I didn't name her. I guess in a way I purposely kept her blank, so that she could be anyone. She could be the reader. Which makes me feel horribly Stephenie Meyer-ish - but I did give her a bit of characterisation, at least. I did specify that she's a Hufflepuff, partly because I aim to write for myself and my friends, and we're mostly Puffs ^_^, and partly because I think a Puff is the sort of person that would suit Fred and the relationship that I was depicting. Anyway, thank you again, dear. Just... wow. :)

That was really good.
And I totally forgot about Fred's death. So the ending was extra sad. :[
But still really good

Author's Response: Aww, how sad! Thank you :)

I've rally never read a fanfic as good as this one. I emailed it to a few of my friends and they all say it's "horribly depressing" but I don't agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOOOOOOOVE IT!

Author's Response: I suppose it could be seen that way. I'm glad you liked it at least! Thanks for all your compliments!

The ending actually made me cry!!! I don't normally like things in second person, but I love it!!!!

Author's Response: Aw - I'm glad you enjoyed this despite the unusual POV. It's my favourite way to write :) And, lol, sorry I made you cry!

Hello Chels, my SPEW buddy!

This was such a good little one-shot. Having the second person viewpoint right from the summary just drew me in instantly. I think was really the thing that made this one-shot so good to read - the second person viewpoint. It allowed the reader to really see and feel and understand what the person in the story was going through.

I also liked your characterization of Fred. He was spot on. Like here, "I'll tell you a secret..." he says, checking the door's locked. "It's sometimes an act.” It was just very Fred-like to me. The way that he keeps up the secrecy that he and George are always using in a new way to reveal something personal was a great touch, and made Fred instantly believable.

The thing I loved the most, however, was the distinction you made that the two characters where not in love. That, yes, they loved, but they were not in love. It brought the story into a very realistic light for a teenage setting inside the walls of Hogwarts.

I must admit that I was craving some more detail and scenes, but that just goes to show how much I enjoyed this little story. I also noticed a few small grammar/punctuation mistakes, but I forgot where I saw them. *face palm* I think it was a missed comma and a word that should have been capitalized, but wasn’t.

All in all, I thought this was a short, but sweet read that was realistic and honest. Good work!

Author's Response: *is finally finally responding* Thank you for that lovely review, Haylee. I'm happy you liked this, it's kind of like my baby. I will comb over it again to see if I can spot the mistakes you found :) I'm glad you picked up on that distinction between loving and being in love, too, as I wasn't entirely sure if readers would like it, but it just seemed right to me. Thank you, again - this really made me smile when I read it (over a month ago! Eek!)
