Author's Response: Thanks for reading, DownWithTheCarrows113! It's not so much that Genevieve's family severed ties with her, but more she with them. Genevieve's mother, an OC, had some very bad experiences with purebloods and out of fear, she tried to prevent her children from entering "that world". Genevieve didn't listen, and that's why they haven't spoken. I agree the majority of the Weasleys are trusting, but the distrust comes more from Genevieve's mother. Thanks again for reviewing. :)
