Haha the chapter with the Rafiki guy! I remember the conversation we had about him xD and the conversation we had about Genevieve's dream, similar to mine brrr I just never knew who took my boy and we weren't running through a forest brr
I liked the Rafiki guy, some humour to this rather dark chapter. My God, Genevieve almost died. I bet Leopold is having second thoughts about that contract now... Next chapter should be 'The Contract Derailed' right? the extract you have in the summary! dun dun dun

Thank goodness nothing really serious happened to Genevieve when she was in that horrible frozen state. I like Healer Jacobs and thought it was funny the way he kept whacking Demetri over the head with his cane. I'm glad the baby was okay. The dream Genevieve had at the end was scary. I hope it doesn't come to pass. Anyway, I enjoyed reading the new chapter and I am looking forward to reading the next one. Nicely done, mzap. :)

I quite like Healer Jacobs, too, and that happens to be one of my favorite parts in this chapter. Remus and Tonks are so cute together. Teddy seems to be a little nosy, but I know it's just because he's concerned for Genevieve's safety so I'm okay with it. I can't say I blame Demetri for punching Teddy in the nose. He has to be under a lot of stress worrying about Nathaniel's next move and keeping Genevieve safe. Anyway, I enjoyed the new chapter. Looking forward to the next one. Nice job mzap. :)

teddy seems so nosey to me always, but i always forget that he doesnt know everything i know..haha
i like this chapter...is there any influence of the charles manson murders on the scene in the clarke's house? im just curious because the writing of "purity of the night" on the wall reminded me about that, and it makes since to me because manson was a crazed lunatic who manipulated his subjects like nathanial.
but yea, great chapter!! cannot wait until you update again.

Well, you already know I laughed at Leopold and the maid =P (and that login was a nightmare ¬¬)
Anywho... t'was a looong chapter! Love it =) Demetri's parents took the news well, all things considered. Freya's reaction was the best, pulling out Demetri's baby albums... why is it that all mum's do that? Lol. Charlie and Maddi.... their reactions should be interesting... looking forward to them, should Demetri and Genevieve feel like sharing xD
And that contract... poor Lucinda =( after what happened to them, people will be less inclined to betray Nathaniel :S
Looking forward to another update! (That I will hopefully be able to read the day it's uploaded ¬¬)

Given the past between Genevieve and her parents, I doubt they'd be happy to find out that the daughter who left them to be with a Rosier because of lust got pregnant. And most definitely, that is precisely why Nathaniel chose to show everyone just how powerful the contract is. I like Demetri's mum. I can't say the same about his father. Poor Freya. I feel so sorry for her. Standing by and watching her pig of a husband having an affair with the help. I was cheering her on when she told the maid off. The whole scene with Nathaniel killing that poor Clarke fellow made me mad. I wish someone would do that to him. I hope Demetri and Genevieve and their baby survive. Nice chapter mzap. I'm looking forward to reading more. :)

As the for the Clarks, it was tragic, but necessary to show how much the Pureblood Alliance Contract affects people. Genevieve is missing? Something tells me that Nathaniel doesn't have anything to do with her disappearance. I'm probably wrong, but I'm thinking that she went into hiding somewhere she would be safe. Just a guess. Poor Ivette. I hope she will be all right. If Genevieve was taken by Nathaniel I hope he doesn't do anything to her. Please update again soon. I must know what happens next. Author's Response: Lol, Genevieve is actually still at the apartment with Demetri. Given Nathaniel's order that "a woman's place is in the home" from a couple chapters ago, Genevieve is forced to stay home. In turn, Demetri has to lie and say Genevieve is ill and can't come to work, also because Nathaniel has told him that he cannot tell the truth (he does and it could break the Pureblood Alliance Contract). However, Teddy doesn't believe Demetri and that's why he thinks she's gone missing, and since he can't check the apartment, he has no way to confirm her safety. Thanks so much for reading! :)

I knew she was pregnant. I just wish the timing didn't stink. Her pregnancy couldn't have come at a worse time. I hope Nathaniel doesn't rape her. Oh my goodness. That chapter ended on a frightening note. The voice coming out of Diana was talking about Genevieve's baby. The one she's carrying. (I'm still convinced she's pregnant.) The whole Hamish and Diana arguing over the bed cover was a funny moment. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter. Nice job mzap.

That contract is pure evil. Is there a way to destroy it? If there is I hope someone gets rid of it. Poor Genevieve. I'm so glad Demetri arrived home when he did. I had a feeling since meeting Nathaniel that he would try something with her. I don't think it's the contract that is making her ill. I believe she might be pregnant. Oh I hope I am right, but if I am then not only will she be in danger but so will the baby. These just keep getting better and better. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Please post again soon. Wow even Genevieve's body is rebelling... bloody Nathaniel, that was unexpected. Not what he did, but the moment he chose to do it. I guess he felt that he should lull them into a false sense of security first, then strike. Smart.
That contract is evil. Render your victim defenseless before striking, why not? Demetri must be worried sick, and now he probably won't want to leave Viev's side at all. He'll get into trouble with Nathaniel, won't he? I don't think he'll let him go with what he did to Genevieve.
Genevieve's illness is kind of strange, though. Must know more. =0
Author's Response: Ah, yes, Nathaniel is a conniving son-of-a-witch. But he's going to try to get what he wants, no matter what it takes. Demetri is scared to death, but the sad thing is is that he can't do a thing about most of it. He is forced to go to work every day and can't come home until the end of the work day, leaving Genevieve rather vulnerable. Tension is rising between the two men, but Demetri will try to keep his cool for now, as protection for Genevieve (one wrong move and it can be labeled at rebellion). As for that "illness", I can tell you it has nothing to do with the contract. ;) Thanks for reading! :D

Dun dun!! Harry should listen to Teddy, there's something fishy going on! Though, it really looks like Teddy is more worried about what's happening with the couple at a personal level, rather than a professional one... if only he knew =O
He should be more careful when spying Lol he reminded me so much of clumsy Tonks at that moment! Demetri and Genevieve sure have a big problem in their hands... I'm really curious about how they will solve it, or if it can be solved at all!
Author's Response: Lol, thanks for reading. Yes, the clumsy falling was inspired by dear Tonks (wouldn't she be so proud?). Harry does understand that there's something going on, but he's a little more trusting of Demetri (just a bit worried for Genevieve's safety). Right now, things are bit in a confusion where no one really understands what Nathaniel is trying to do. Things will start getting more serious soon. Thanks again for reading! :D

This is my favorite chapter so far. I have no doubt there will be many more chapters that become my favorite. I like the new Demetri and Genevieve, the more loving couple. This chapter has left me with more questions. Like Teddy, I too am curious as to what Demetri's falling in love with Genevieve has anything to do with “consequences”? As for the new take on the Demetri/Genevieve relationship, there are still points where they haven't at all lost their old fire and they're not ones who want to admit being a lot more caring for each other. They may love each other, but it's not something they want to go announcing and not something they want to define their relationship by. The "consequences" refers to Genevieve's new vulnerability as Demetri's love; if he's not careful, the results could be fatal. Thanks again for reading, and I'm glad you liked it! There's a lot of good chapters to come that I really like. :)
