So funny! This brings me back to ninth grade history class, giggling about homo erectus (upright man). I doubt there has ever been a class that has been able to get through that part of their unit on ancient man with a straight face.

That was funny... and I find myself wondering if the British (or even the Wizarding world) uses "booty" in the way you're implying. Being who I am, I was initially as confused as Binns because the primary dictionary meaning of "booty" is loot, stolen property. Looking farther into the matter, I found that the secondary meaning of "buttocks" (or worse) comes from Black American slang in the 1920s.
