I was wondering if Alex was going to tell Max about the silver coin she had that would get her into the Lands Below. The questions still is what was Darla doing with that coin and what does John know. This is getting really interesting and sinister. I have a sense of foreboding. I'm anxious about what happens next. Great chapter.
I know nothing makes Alex more curious than when she knows someone is lying to her. I loved that she met some of her ancesters even though they were ghosts. Whis is Zachary? I'm still wondering what Darla is playing with. I have an ominous feeling that something is going to go wrong. Great chapter.
I was so glad Alex decided to dance. It's just like her to go and ask a boy go dance. Her conversation with Payton was very interesting. It seemed like everything she said was taken the wrong way and she had to explain. Serves her right:D I think she likes Payton. I was a little worried when her father showd up under the influence of polyjuice potion. I was afraid someone would catch him. And now she's wandering off into the forest. She'll never learn:P Great chapter.
Alexandra is such a tomboy. I'm glad she found a dress to wear at least. I believe that sometimes we have to play the game whether we want to or not. I always get a kick out of the purebloods being so mannerly, very stuck up, but very mannerly. I thought it was very interesting that the ghosts decide to have a war every once in a while. Julia was very astute to explain that this "war behavior" probably makes the ghosts feel alive. Great chapter.
Max's home sounds like what I think an old fashioned plantation would be. Well, kind of--I have no idea what a plantation would be like other than from stories I've read. Julia seems so nice. I think this visit will give Alex some other ideas of what her father is like and how he is thought of. I was touched by how fast Alex accepted this family as her own. Great chapter.
That was a wonderful chapter. I enjoyed reading about the train ride. I'd forgotten that Alex had witnessed death (last year) and could see thestrals. So will the girls be going to a cotillion? That would be fun. Great chapter.
I was so happy for Alex that her brother and friends threw a birthday party for her. The cake sounded delicious and her presents were awesome. Best of all was the invitation to visit Max's home. I can't wait to see Alex's reaction to a wizarding home. Great chapter.
That was interesting and very mysterious. I hate to think of what Alex is getting herself into next. Is Darla really more dangerous than she appears? Is she really crazy? Alex could use an understanding grown up to talk to. After all, Harry had Dumbledore. I wish she could confide in Max. The seem to be developing a more trusting relationship. This story is so interesting. I'm so happy I discovered it. Great chapter.
It sounds like Darla needs some serious help that no one's giving her. I know she's not very powerful but sometimes incompetent people are the most dangerous because they can screw things up. I wonder who really cursed David. And, I wonder about the significance of Darla's coin. Great chapter.
So that was Alex's big plan--to make Angelique jealous. It was kind of cute and who knows--it might work. I'd be worried that David really does have a crush on Alex. I was really touched by Alex's gift to Max. It seems perfect. Great chapter.
I don't know what I expected but it wasn't Alex's mother's reaction to Alex's questions about her background. I don't know about Alex but now I'm really curious about how her mother and father met. What attracted a powerful wizard to a "lowly" muggle? I loved all of the gifts that Alex got for Christmas, especially the photo cube from Max. Her conversation with David was so cute. I wonder what sort of guy will interest the young up and coming witch:D I'm happy that Alex is rejoining the JROC. I think it's good for her in a number of ways. Great chapter.
I think Mr. Thorn is very charismatic and manipulative. He wanted to appear to answer Alex's questions but actually only said what he wanted her to know. On the other hand, Max is right. At some point Alex is going to have to tell the "authorities" about her visit with her father. I hope Alex gets some of her questions answered by her mother. I can sense and understand how uncomfortable this will be though. Great chapter.
Wow--that's pretty exciting and mysteriious. Alex wanted to meet her father and now she will. I don't know about anyone else but I have a good feeling about Max. I think he'll take care of and protect Alex. I don't think her father's going to hurt her either. I loved the scene with the newspaper reporter when Max announced that he was Alex's brother and she took pictures with the other Storm Crows. I found it interesting that they practice the Cruciatus on each other in preparation for their finals. Great chapter.
Call me mean but I say "Yay for Max" for sticking up for Alex. What were those three boys thinking anyway trying to Crucio her. And now we don't know what Max had in mind to show Alex. Worst of all, nosy Darla knows that Max and Alex are siblings. I can't wait to see what happens next. Great chapter.
I tried to stop reading but found myself drawn to your story over lunch. This is so good. It's fun to watch the relationship grow between Max and Alex. I like that she's taking JROC more seriously. Not that I like organizations like that but I think Alex needs to be a part of something after seemingly being alone growing up. I'm glad that Max is a powerful older brother who is teaching Alex. I enjoyed the dueling lessons. Great chapter.
That was incredibly interesting. Abraham Thorn sounds like such a strange, selfish, power hungry man. To think that Alex went from being a single child to having a number of siblings. I think Max will be able to keep a close eye on Alex and also teach her a number of useful things. Great chapter. I feel like just sitting and reading this story but I really must get some other things done.
Whoa--I didn't see that one coming at all. I thought maybe a romantic interest was happening; I didn't expect Alex to find a sibling. I still can't believe that Darla took Honey. Once again, Alex is so brave but would someone please unpetrify that damn jarvey. This story is getting so interesting. Great chapter.
I hope nothing horrible happens to Honey. It looks like Darla did something to her roommate's familiar. I was so relieved when Alex and Anna straightened things out with Tomo. That always happens--I'll hate a character and then they turn out to be an OK person. Alex is such a wonderful character. You must be really proud of your creation. Great chapter.
I get such a kick out of Honey. She makes me laugh every time. I wouldn't want a jarvey but they're funny if they belong to someone else:D I feel bad that Alex's friends are shunning her at the moment but I'm sure they'll work it out in the end. I think in Alex's case, she is trying to educate herself about the Dark Arts in case she has to protect her friends. It was interesting that Ms. Grimm said that if Alex had cast the Killing Curse someone would probably be dead. I appreciate that Alex refused to learn the Cruciatus but I don't think she's finished with the MMS. Darla is sure taking her chances isn't she? Great chapter.
Wow--that was a totally amazing chapter. I was as shocked as the next person when Darla cast a Killing Curse. I wonder if she'll be expelled. What was she thinking? Alex's boggart was interesting. I didn't know what to expect. Apparently she worries about hurting other people. The Dark Mark was interesting. Was that the bit of mayhem the MMS promised? Finally, why would Tomo's boggart look like Alex. That was kind of funny--only because at this point in time I don't like Tomo. Excellent chapter.
