The scene in the church was very atmospheric.

Have to admit for one ghastly moment I thought Carole was going to be Peter's mother! Good revenge. I look forward to the next chapter where Sirius escapes, finds Carole and realises she's the love of his life.

I wish I could have had him hexing Peter and winning the day, but canon says otherwise. As for you being Peter's mother, never even considered it. And there won't be a chapter of him escaping to you. Sorry, dear, that scenario just isn't in the cards.
