This is a story I have always love, so I can't believe I haven't written a review yet.
Wow, Percy's youngest is a Squib. I feel really bad in thinking of this as divine intervention, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've always felt that Percy was left off too easy after the was. I know the Weasleys are all about family and would most likely welcome back anyone no matter what they did, but I still feel that Percy never properly paid for all that he did. It's only too bad that Lucy is the one who's going to have to pay the price.
Something else that I'm looking forward to is seeing how the rest of the family reacts to the news. Some reletives are easier to guess than others, and it is those mystery reactions that I am really looking forward to seeing. I am also curious to know how Percy and Audrey will tell everyone. I know from experience how awful it is to tell people bad news over and over again and having to watch the same reactions.
I also wonder what will become of Lucy and how she will adapt to the Muggle way of life. What will this boarding school of hers be like and what will she say to her friends when she tells them they won't be able to come visit her at her home? Also, I have a feeling that Arthur will become closer to Lucy than any of his other granchildren because of the fact that she is a Squib. Not just because she will have a true insiders knowledge of all Muggle devices, but Arthur reminds me of the type of person who would reach out to Lucy when she becomes and outsider in her own family.
But look at me, telling you how to write your own story.
So please, PLEASE do not abandon this story! If you do, I swear that I will cry!
Author's Response: Wow, I haven't checked my account in months and I come back to this... You deserve a better response then this, but the short answer is that grad-school and fanfiction are not getting along right now. I hope to come back sometime. Your review makes me want to. I promise to try and do a chapter or two over Christmas break.
I can't do much to help you get readers on this website...but if you post it on FanFiction.net I can get you some attention. This fic is far too good to be lost in the shuffle like this! I hope you keep going so I can see how it comes full circle!
Author's Response: I'm glad that you like this story so much, but don't worry about readership; none of my stories are really popular, but I don't mind. I write to keep myself sane and for the fun of it. So don't worry about me stopping this fic, I love Percy too much to do it. Also, the wait my be a little longer for the next chapter as I spent the last two weeks writing over twenty five pages worth of papers for two classes. Hopefully I'll finish it up this weekend and send it off to Beta.
Your writing is amazing, and your story so unique. I can't wait to read more about how Percy changes as a person. Also, I hope you keep putting quotes at the beginning of your chapters - it's always fun to find the connections to the story. I hope the next update is soon!
Author's Response: The quotes will continue. I confess I had quotes for the entire story figured out next to my chapter plan, before I had the first chapter finished; it was too much fun finding them all. Thanks for your kind review.
Good start especially after the first chapter...keep going! I hope you catch some readership besides little ole me though! This chapter is more accessible so one can hope!
Author's Response: Thanks for coming back! You are great encouragement for me to keep writing.
Huh? Need more info! Please update...far too few Percy fics so plaase don't leave it at this.
Author's Response: I'm a big meanie for writing a prologue that vague, aren't I? Don't worry alot more is coming, chapter one is in the queue. I agree with you about the Percy thing, which is a shame because he is such I interesting character and probably my favorite. Thanks for your review.
