Ah, I remember this. =) I love this poem, Phia, it's honestly amazing. I have no critiques, just...awe, really. *grins* I love the beginning, as it just sets the tone for the entire piece, and I love how it ties in with the ending - Who, Salazar, who, can mend Rowena's shattered heart? You have an amazing way with words, as I've told you. x_x
I love the way you describe things - the lantern glowing, resolute and brave, the way she didn't cry nor 'sully deathly perfect skin' (that line is aMAzing, really), and the screams shuddering through her...this is one of the best dark poems I've read in a long while. *favorites* =)

Great poem! I really loved the imagery and the comparison to Rapunzel. I especially loved the line about her screams being trapped inside. You seemed to be missing a syllable here and there, so you might want to watch that, but other than that, it was a very good poem! Well done!
