I love the back story that you have created for Buckbeak. You give him an even more plausible reason than he already had for doing what he did to Draco, and a good explaination of why the gifts you gave him are not shown in the books.

However, I would like more explaination of how he (and his clan) got the gift. If it was a common gift for hippogriffs there would not have been any point in hiding it.

I also like the birthday present that Sirus gives Buckbeak.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm not sure what you mean by gift he and his clan possess. Is it the ability of speech? If so I suspect it is a well guarded secret so that they can gather information and report it. If I didn't answer please let me know.
