O.O Bine, how do you DO that? I know you're all over-whelmed already tonight, but I'm going to say this anyway: you are an amazing poet and I'm proud that you're my friend and PA. *hugglesquishes*

Author's Response: . . .

Can't speak here for a moment...

I'm so flattened. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm proud to be your friend, too.*squishes tightly*

I don't usually read poetry, but I decided to give this one a try because it only has two reviews, and I know how much an author loves reviews.

I think I'd like the beginning better if it rhymed. You managed to do that well with the most of rest of the poem, but the beginning was a bit rocky and didn't really feel like something the Sorting hat would sing. There were other minor slips where it didn't rhyme as well as it could have, but that was the bit that stood out to me most.

I think my favorite bit was when you went and described all the colors and animals and what they meant to each house. I think that was a really nice touch, and definitely something I can see the hat singing about. It was a lovely new way to describe the houses. Good job, dear! [hugs]

It did seem a bit long for a Sorting hat song, but I still liked it. You did a good job, and now I know why you like poetry so much. You're good at it!

[hugs again]

Author's Response: Aw, thank you, Nikki! *huggles*

Yeah, the beginning is a bit rocky, but with English not being my native tongue it's a bit hard from time to time to always find the right words. I try my best though. And critique is always welcome with me. *huggles some more*

And for the length: 1,500 words were required as minimum length, so yeah, the song gets very, very, very, very long. lol

Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing! *hugs for the third time*

Bine! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! 1667 words ... I never knew that was possible for a poem. And it rhymes too! O.o I am sooo jealous of your skill and talent at writing poems. This is going straight to my favorites. It was like literature only Harry Pottery. *continues to mumble nonsensical compliments under breath* -Avery

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Avery, dear! You have no idea how long I sat on this *damn* poem. >.< And thanks for adding it to your favourites. *is proud*

Longer than most Sorting Hat songs, but I really enjoyed how the Hat told of Hogwarts' history and about Voldemort and the Trio, and the Battle of Hogwarts. Great job!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. And it took my sister and an awful long time to come up with including Voldemort, the Trio and Hogwarts' Battle.
