I like this story. I almost thought that Lily actually did that at first. lol. You did a really good job with this story. I could see Snape going through that.
Awwwwwww poor Snape (never thought I'd hear myself say that until I read Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows...and now you've made me say it again hehe).
That was such a good story, really made me feel for Snape and how much guilt he felt for his actions from his youth. And you managed to convey his love for Lily as believable not fake and forced.
I usually read romance fics (such a romantic hehe) but I decided to read something different, and I'm glad I picked this. Keep up the good work :)

I think that you have the emotions that Severus must have felt towards Harry done well. He is the child of a man that he hated, and the woman that he loved. A reminder of her, and the fact that she chose someone else.
We know that he thought that Harry was like James (from his conversations with Dumbledore), and I like how noticing his eyes is what stops him from giving Harry a harsher punishment.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review. To tell the truth, I'm not the biggest Snape fan, but I wanted to see if I could write him the way JKR saw him--as not only a bit bitter about "losing" to James, but vulnerable because he loved Lily until his own death.

I don't usually review, nor do i usually read fanfiction in the category of 'dark/angsty'. I really liked this though :) I loved how Snape didn't feel he deserved peace when because of him Lily no longer lived. I never really thought that such dreams really did haunt Snape, (maybe because it is slightly revolting to imagine him in said dreams :P), and you really managed to convince me. Lily seemed a bit more demanding than i would've imagined her to be, but maybe that's just Snape's imagination going a bit wild, haha.

I figure that, even as a teenage boy, it's hard to guess what one thinks about a love interest--even to this kind of extreme. His dream represents not only the possibilities he lost, but it serves as a constant manifestation of his own guilt. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and thanks for reading/reviewing.
