yay for moving forward! i like calvin... and i'm confused as to why jana stopped using magic? maybe i overlooked that part?
Author's Response: hehe I like Calvin too! I thiiiink I explained why she stopped using magic in another chapter? well, I didn't really explain it, but I think I implied that she's just so caught up in the muggle lifestyle by that point that she stops using magic, and then it becomes sort of a habit. Also, I envision her as being sensitive towards Jim, a muggle, so she tries to limit her magic use, especially around him. hope that answered your question! Thanks for reviewing! =]

yayy an update!! I'm glad you had fun in Paris, and I hope your AP results came in alright, even with the name trouble.
I really like this chapter with Calvin, and I like Calvin much better than Rickert. I think that perhaps Rickert might show up sometime later after Persephone is comfortable with Calvin which may create some drama... but Calvin seems like the man for her. :)

Hurrah, Jana... But I want Rickert. I want some kind've closure! (she whines) Just one more sarcastic line... I'm crossing my toes for the last few chapters!
Also; I discovered, by chance, a phenomenal song by Wishbone Ash called 'Persephone'. It may well not be the type of music you liek, but in case you're interested, there's a good live version on youtube!

I hate Rickert.
This is a great story, though.
And Slate seemed like a little bit of a jerk, but that's just me. Elisabeth sounds adorable, and I'm looking forward to more Sophy in the story!

Ah, poor Persephone, no fairy tales for her... ever!? Kudos to you for dodging the formulas and having Persephone trudge around in real life. I have no idea how you'll end it :) I can't believe you've nearly finished, what a marathon! I'm intrigued to know how you write. Did you have all her future laid out before you began, or do you think it up as you come to write each chapter?
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! When I started, I pretty much knew what was going to happen to her. I've had the last chapter and the epilogue written for months, so I'm always sort of working towards that, and about halfway through, I did an outline for the remaining chapters. So it's not completely formulaic, but I always have some kind of idea of where I'm going =P Thanks for reviewing!

I feel so sorry for Persephone right now. I'm glad that she has a little group of good friends that are helping her take care of Elisabeth, but I can't get the feeling that she's going to try and compare the next few guys she dates to Rickert and that won't get her anywhere. I really hope she can get over him and just be happy. Finding another job that she likes better might also be a plus, but since she never graduated, I can imagine that that's not entirely possible.
