I really appreciate the amount of thought you put into the identity of the ailing patient, and I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. Although still rather stiff, it was enjoyable to see Snape being so kind and gentle to a stranger in need. This chapter was fantastic and I cannot wait to read the next one! Author's Response: Mmm... Snape has been my favorite person in canon since Goblet of Fire. When I got into reading fanfic, the first story I read was a Snape/Hermione fic and it just blew my mind. I had never imagined the pair before but now I will argue with anyone (or no one at all) about how absolutely perfect they are together. Why would a brilliant girl like Hermione want to spend the rest of her life with someone like Ron? There is no challenge in it for her. So in my stories, I bring them together and hope to do both of their characters justice while putting them in situations that J.K. Rowling never intended them to be in. Snape, even a happy and falling-in-love Snape should still have a snarkiness to him. He will forever be the sarcastic bad boy, but that's why I love him. And Hermione, well after all that she has gone through, she should have some backbone and be willingly to go for what she wants, most emphatically when it's a dark and sexy Potions master. I'm beyond happy that I've converted you into my warped way of thinking, lol. The next chapter is in the hands of the MODs now and should be up in the next few days. Stay tuned, deary!

Author's Response: Thanks! It was beyond my control. The MODs were holding my chapter hostage. My usual MOD went on vacation and I had problems with her replacement, but she is back now so all is good. Next chapter is already in the approval stage. Stay tuned!

Loved it...clearly differnt but loved it all the same. It was light-hearted and fun and since I've long loved Professor Snape I am relieved to see his character deepened. For something I would not normally read it brought out my inner "hopeless romantic". Something I rarely give in to as I relate more to Professor Snape. Can't wait to see what happens next...

So awesome. I've never been a fan of this particular ship, but I have a degree in English and I found your comparison between Snape and Darcy quite thought-provoking (I took an entire course just on Austen!). Can I please please read the unedited version?
Author's Response: Wow, that's quite a compliment. I'm a huge Austen fan but never had any formal study in it. I just like the books. The first time I read P&P a few years ago I was immediately struck by the similarities. As Snape's story progressed in canon it became even more apparent to me. So in my own little fanfic world I can express that to others. The unedited version can be found on both Ashwinder & Fanfic.net - same penname, same story name & same chapter #. I hope you enjoy it!
Alan Rickman is in a movie called Bottle Shock. I saw a movie picture on a cab in New York. I glanced at the cab but it started moving before I could see it but it was Alan Rickman with a gun, I think. But he is one of the main actors.
Author's Response: Yeah, that is the latest movie that he has done. It was a festival movie and hasn't been released in theaters yet (which makes me mad). He also did a movie called Noble Son and it's the same thing, festival movie and not released. Bottle Shock is a movie about wine and Alan plays a judge in a competition. Not sure why he would have a gun, but you never know.
What a delightful story. I've read several attempts on this pairing and found it very refreshing that you chose to have the primary setting outside the school and use of the characters of Draco and his father. Keep up the good work.

I've always been more drawn to their relationship beginning while Hermione is still his student (not sure what that says about me, but whatever), but it's fun to take Severus out of the school enviroment and see him about town. And Draco and Lucius, mmm... they're just too delectable not to throw into the mix. :) I'm not sure at this point how many chapters there will be. Only a couple more... definately less than 20. Stay tuned!
I love how you let Hermione be the know-it-all that she is. Many Severus/Hermione fics forget this important fact, making Hermione almost unrecognizable:(

I always find it hilarious when she is dealing with Severus because he's a bit of a know-it-all too so they have that in common but also clash over it. Next chapter will be out soon.
