I really was a little wary when I read the synopsis of this fic, but I really think you pulled it off quite well. I never would have thought of putting the HP characters in another time period, and I think that shows a lot of creativeness and boldness on your part. First of all, I loved how you stayed true to the characters. Private Weasley definitely held true to Ron's personality. He's always loved Hermione and wanted to protect her at the same time. Oh, and I love how you made a reference to his ears turning red! :) As for "Potter," I think its great that you still called him "The Boy Who LIved," even though he lived through a battle instead of an attack from a dark wizard. But, most of all, I think you really captured Hermione's determinedness and bravery. Like a true Gryffindor, she didn't want to be left out of the battle. But, I definitely ached for both Ron and Hermione at the end of the story! It was definitely a very "Romeo and Juliet" type ending, but I think it was also necessary to the theme of the terribleness of war too. So, bravo to you! Its nice to read a story that takes a little bit of risk but still comes out on top. :)

I'm very happy that you enjoyed this one-shot, seeing as it takes a deliberate curve away from my usual Ron/Hermione stories. Hearing that I stayed true to the characters if a wipe of the brow for me, since that was definitely the hardest part about writing this story. I'm ecstatic that it went over so well!
Oh, that was beautiful. It was a different take that was well written. I wonder what happens to Harry, though. Great Job!
Author's Response: You know, I never considered what happened to Harry. I don't think he would have let his best mate die though, so he was probably killed as well, either before or after. But that't just my take, if you want Harry to live, by all means, continue to believe so! Thanks for the review!
