Author's Response: Sirius more so than Remus because Remus has so many problems with his life, but I agree. After hearing about the Marauders and such, I've been wondering for a long time how it might be different if Harry knew them and got to grow up with them. ^_^
Oh, wow! This is a very good AU, and it's very believable. I'm almost surprised that Sirius married a writer, though I suppose that if he did get married, he would choose someone who's job isn't some boring, predictable desk job.

well, market forces will dominate in the end, and the most liked, the good ones, will end up with more reviews and posts, so in the end the good ones come to the top and win the awards,but yeah i see your point, it does keep the standard nice and high. So that's good for me. BTW do you know anyone who would be my editor, beta-reader, i have a fanfic i really want to write, but I'm not great at keeping the actual language of it fluid, so if you know anyone who's willing, could you pass along their MNFF details? which category do you think i should put a slightly AU - mystery- romance fic?
Author's Response: My suggestion for finding a good beta is either looking at Perfect Imagination (www.perfectimagination.co.uk), or getting an account on the beta forums of MNFF. We have an entire section of the forums devoted to beta readers and people looking for them, so you can find someone on there.rnrnAs for the category, it depends on what is most prevalent. If it's only slightly AU, just make AU a warning on the story, and decide whether it's more about the mystery or the romance. Your beta reader will be able to help you more because they'll be able to actually see the story. Good luck!
