Very very good. I am a little confused as to why if it were so easy to stun Voldemort, the order hadn't caught him ages ago though. Anyway, I was wondering until Frank said, why Lily hadn't accused Pettigrew. And James is far too trusting isn't he? But I guess none of us want to believe our friends would betray us. I like James telling Voldemort he'll join him when hell freezes over, Neville says the exact same thing in DH, it kind of compounds Voldemorts reaction doesn't it? And I really like the playfulness you've got between James and Lily, they sort of slip back into their school days a bit, jokingly of course. I notice during the last fight Pettigrew wasn't mentioned as one of the fighters, was that intentional? Oh and the line 'five bloody miles' will be rattling around my head for the rest of the day. Anyway, great fic and sorry for the garbled review.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you for the review! And no, it isn't easy to Stun Voldemort. Lily managed to catch him off guard, which isn't something you can do every time you fight against him. He was so caught up with talking to James, that he didn't notice Lily creeping behind him. rnrnAnd James mentions how Lily seems to have forgotten everything, which is why she cannot recall Pettigrew's involvement at all. (Thanks to a Memory Charm courtesy of Peter.) And, yes, during the last fight, Peter wasn't mentioned, because by that time, he's realised what he's done, and yet he's too cowardly / selfish to fight Voldemort himself, so he goes into hiding for a short period of time. rnrnHope that cleared up your questions, and thanks, once again, for reviewing! :D
It was when he was trying to make Lily remove the prophecy. He did that to Bode in Order of the Pheonix.
I always wondered about this.
Author's Response: Oh, glad you found my spin-off plausible. :)
Very nice, very engaging! Any chance of a sequel?
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! And I kind of see this fic as a stand-alone right now, but you never know when inspiration strikes. ;)
Nice fic. I like the kind of fic that takes something from canon and expands on it, such as this one.
The repetition of they were still alive and the number of times they had defied Voldemort is effective.
During the second time why was there no attempt to use the imperius curse? Maybe I'm missing something
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! And, during the second time, do you mean when Voldemort's trying to recruit James? At that time, he wants James' loyalty to him, which isn't something you can win using the Imperius curse, right? Sure you can make people do things, but Voldemort wanted James to come over to the Dark side and serve him on his own. That's why he didn't use the Imperius Curse. Hope that answers your question! :)
