I first read the Potter's Pentagon stories years ago and fell in love with the characters at once. Now, years later a messy break up brought me back to the stories that made me laugh. Of course, the universe had to be weird and... Ted is the doppleganger of my ex, with the personality of Charybdis (the one from greek mythology). Anyways, I really loved these stories, I really connected with the characters, especially Haley, I like to think we would be awkward shorty musical theatre ADHD buddies. Thank you for making me laugh.

Last night, for some reason, I remembered this fanfic. And even though I haven't really been on or read any fanfic since May of last year, I logged in, and stayed up until 5 in the morning rereading this. It's one of the most memorable and fantastically done fanfics I think. Thank you so much for taking the time to write and submit such an awesome story (and the rest of them as well). Cheers!

The rip-off of Pride and Prejudice is complete genius. I love how you call the Darcy guy "jerkface girl-name" and have him stomp off to an emo corner. I once tried to read that book and didn't much care for it, but these little summaries are quite funny!
Emma is a really cool character, but Mr. Sappy (Ted) seems to be my favorite character so far.

Good story. I didn't like how Anatoly turned out, but I did like how the end is told from their daufhter's POV.

I totally could tell Emma and Tyrone were going to dance..... I must have a sixth sense or something.

I really love your work, especially Potters Pentagon. I first thought that Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums sounded really cheesy (I don't care much for love stories), but I completely loved every part of it! Your characters are fantastic, and you are a truly great writer. I know you said that this is the end of all things Potter's Pentagon, but I would absolutely love it if you wrote a prequel about the time they went into the forest to save Ivy. Thanks for your wonderful work and characters that have kept me going.

Author's Response: Hey there! Yeah, at first, I felt awkward about writing this story, because romance is NOT something I really care about, either in real life or in fiction, but it was a challenge, and I decided to take it up. Thanks so much for everything... I actually have considered writing a prequel MANY times, but I was always stopped by the fact that I honestly cannot remember how eleven-year-olds speak and think and act, and I was always worried they came off sounding too old. I might have to try again sometime soon, though!

Yay! They got back together. I absolutely love your writing. By the way, that's a lot of profiles. Please write more future generation stuff, it's the best.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm not sure I'll ever write more future gen... I do have a story planned out ,but it's really long and complicated and surprisingly dark, so it'll probably never actually happen. But I'll always love these goofy characters of mine.

Awww, it's so romantic. Which is exactly why I don't get how I like it. But really, you are an amazing writer and love your stories. A few chapters back, when there was so much Emma and Tyrone trouble, I practically considered writing a fanfic on a fanfic. Just kidding. But seriously, if you can make me like romance, you have a gift.

Author's Response: Hey ,if you feel like writing a fanfic of a fanfic, feel free, haha. Especially if you send it to me. I already miss my characters. Thanks a bajillion and twelve... I actually hate romance, too, and I'm a really unromantic person, but I did this story as part of a challenge for writing a story inspired by "Pride and Prejudice," and as an English lit major, I had to do it! The only way to get me to write a romance story is to have Emma, who hates romance even more than I do, narrate it!

I'm in abad mood now.... I wish they were still dating. And it was all over green beans.

Author's Response: Hahaha, don't worry! Things turn out all right. But they WOULD fight over such a stupid thing...

That was really great! One say I started reading the first Potter's Pentagon book because I was really curious an I got so attached to the story and the characters almost as much as I am obsessed with the original Harry Potter books. And now I'm kind of sad that it's over. That was really good!!! I haven't actually read Pride and Prejudice, but I saw a four-ish hour (I think) version in a movie. I can't really believe that Emma didn't realize that her story was sk much like the one in Pride and Prejudice until a bit later in the story. Summary: I loved it!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am glad I'm not the only one who got weirdly attached to all of my characters. And now that you've read this story, you never WILL need to read Pride and Prejudice! YAAAY! I have seen that movie ,though, and I like it... I also like the much shorter one starring Keira Knightley and a man with a silly nose. But I always think these movies put too much emphasis on the romance and not enough on the Funny, so I wanted to do that! And I think the reason why Emma didn't notice the similarity because she was too proud and too prejudiced! :D

Shmerg!! You devil! Snape, Trelawney and Umbridge indeed. I'm glad I'm not the only HP fan to notice that :)

Author's Response: "Schmerg, you devil!" I've never had anyone exclaim that to me before, but I think a small part of me secretly always wanted to hear that. That and "You sly old fox!" Anyway, I am glad somebody else picked up on that. ;)

perfect ending to a beyond wonderful story!

Author's Response: D'awwww, thank you! <3

Aww... great ending! I really, really, REALLY liked this one! Not only do I constantly have dreams (or nightmares) about the Chudley Cannons in their awful orange robes, but niflheim has become part of my vocabulary. It's on my list of favorite words, between redonkulous and inconceivable. :) Well done!

Author's Response: Aiiiieeeee! Thank you so much! I'm sorry to have infiltrated your dreams... INCEPTION, BWAAAAAH.... but this makes me happy! And hey, I love saying 'redonkulous' and 'inconceivable,' too! And obviously Niflheim, but that goes without saying.

I can hear Dad whispering, “Mrs. Thomas… Mrs. Thomas… Mrs. Thomas… Mrs. Thomas… Mrs—”

Yes!! You know I was totally waiting for this ^.^

Super Motts, our pet giraffe

So much awesome. Such a little sentence.

And I yelled, ‘AS YOU WISH!’

Emma's proposal was basically the best thing ever. And if my boyfriend is obsessed with The Princess Bride (because you know that's on the top of my list) I will definitely be telling him about this XD

I loved this ending! The idea of Tyrone and Emma's daughter reading her diary is so very cute - and I really liked the little family reunion. Gotta check up on those characters, you know? I'll miss these guys - not that I won't, you know, be re-reading the trilogy eventually. Thank you for writing this story! I liked getting the teensy weensy little bit of extra Tyremma goodness (and a whole lot of, well, Tyrone and Emma being their good old, disagreeable selves). ~

Author's Response: HOORAAAAY! Thanks so much! And I am glad you liked the pet giraffe and the proposal. I came up with Emma's proposal years ago, and I thought I'd never get the chance to use it, so I was so happy to wedge it in there. It's funny, because I only wrote this story as part of a class, and I actually hate writing romance, but I was surprised by how much fun it was, writing from the voice of a character who hates romance. (That's like the one way that Emma and I are alike... well, we're also both sarcastic and weird, but other than that, we are so different, and it's been weirdly easy pretending to be her.)

Awwww I love it! I love that they all have boy names and that Emma and Tyrone are actually happy in their own, kind of twisted way. I love Haley and Wolfie. I REALLY love Anatoly and his "special friend" and his Asian baby, and I didn't even ever really like him in PP. I'm so sad it's over, because I have been reading these forever, but I love that it ended so perfectly. I friended all of them on facebook! Even after what JK has said, somewhere in my mind, this is still part of my Next-Gen canon :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yeah, Tyrone wanted all the girls to have really prissy old-fashioned girly names, and Emma wanted them to have tomboyish names, so they compromised and gave them all girly names and unisex nicknames. I felt like I needed to write this epilogue because I hate it when stories just end with couples getting together, without showing anything of their relationship. ANd of course, people as weird as Emma and Tyrone can't have a normal 'happily ever after!' I'm really happy that you like Anatoly's ending, because I'd never planned on including him in the epilogue until I had a dream that he adopted a baby named Ringo Supernova, and so I was like, 'I have to put him in here!' Also because when we last saw him, he was head-over-heels for Haley's husband, and that's just sad. I feel sad that this stuff's over, too, because I was twelve when I invented these characters, and I'm nineteen now. I totally keep forgetting that JK Rowling invented a real Next-Gen bunch... to me, it'll always be these wacky people!

YAYYYY WHere's Dobby? :(

Author's Response: Whaaaat? I did not know that Dobby had anything to do with this story. :((

Oh I'm sad it's ended i wish you would do more but they're all grown up i wish you were like a famous author because then i'd buy all your books you are a really amazing writer and i hope you continue writing fabulous stories i was sad that there wasn't much of ivy or ted in the last chapter but what would they have said? i love them both so much but Hayley is by far my favorite i'm so glad that she became an actress you had this all written really well and i wish i could just keep reading more and more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations!!!!!!!!! 'u' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: This review made me SOOO HAPPY! I actually have had a story in my head for years for when they're grown up, like in the epilogue, but I also always knew that I would never actually write it-- this is the right place for the story to end. I like Haley a lot, too, and I LOOOVE theatre, but I could never be a professional actress, so I just HAD to give Haley that ending! But hopefully someday, I will be a real author and you can buy my books! Just keep an eye out for the name 'Schmergo.' (It's not my real name, but I'll probably use it as a fake middle name so that my former MNFF peeps can spot my stuff in bookstores, hahhaaaa...)

hahaha. aw man I love this story. Id forgotten you were writing an epilogue and got so excited when i saw this in recent updates that its not even funny. I'm so sad its finished...Niflheim! haha awesome job!!
AussiePotter :)

Author's Response: HUZZAH! I'm sad that it finished, too... I created these characters when I was twelve, and I'm nineteen now, so that's a pretty big chunk of my life. They've always been there for me when I feel lonely or angry, and it'll be hard to say goodbye! But now I can focus on all of my exciting original fiction!

I do like the idea of Emma coming round to it, and any kids of her's and Tyrone's would be TOTALLY AWESOME, to use a quote from everybody's favourite musical.

I totally know what you mean about the other stuff, I'm exactly the same. Good luck with your original fiction, I'm sure it will be amazing. MNFF gave us a brilliant groundwork, I loved it, but time always comes to move on, as I'm sure you know. So good luck with everything, not just writing but uni and all the other jazz too! :D x PS. It's fun, isn't it? ;D

Author's Response: Yeppers! I recently wrote a very strange, silly play called "Pirates in Pantyhose" (I normally describe it as 'cross-dressing pirates!' but it's more like 'male ingenue disguised as female pirate on an all-female pirate ship!' Anyway, I'm performing it later this month with some friends. I play the fearsome Captain Bonnie. :D

I remember I used to review this all the time, and then got caught up with life and university and all sorts, but just wanted you to know I always kept reading - couldn't possibly stop without getting to the end, I just love Emma and Tyrone too much. :D Although was very surprised to find out that they really did end up having a family etc! It was very sweet though, loved the giraffe.

Anyway, just wanted to sat I loved the entire Pentagon series, it feels like it's one little semi-canon universe in my mind, thanks so much for keeping it up and making sure it all finishes! :) I remember we were writing a couple of years ago at a very similar time, so I'm impressed that you're still going, it's awesome! :D PS. Apologies if that made me sound like a major stalker... I promise I just like the fics! :P xx

Author's Response: Hey there! Yeah, it's the same with me, life and university and all that jazz kind of kept me busy! I haven't actually read anyone else's fanfics in about four years! Yeah, I felt like Emma didn't want to have a family at first, but Tyrone did, but after Tyrone stopped playing professional Quidditch, she decided to give in, since their kids would have him at home to take care of them while she worked. And I feel like she actually loves having kids, even if she's not the typical 'mum.' It feels weird now that I'm done writing this whole series, since I really got to love these characters, and I think I'll miss them, especially since I think this means I'm done with all Harry Potter fanfic... though this does mean I'll have loads of time to work on my original fiction! But the MNFF stuff used to be a MAJOR part of my life, and I'm always going to have happy memories of it!
