I really loved this, and the sentiment behind it got me all teary eyed. I've always liked Snape, but knowing he has a soft spot makes me like him even more.

See? He does have goodness in his heart and it's a darn shame that he and Lily could'nt be more than friends....

Genius wrinkle to the whole Snape/Lilly mythos. It also explains some of the root of the Potter/Snape fued. I'm wondering because I never see any information on Potter's parents...was this idle speculation or did it have basis in fact?
