lol, that spell almost killed me. I was shocked. Nicely executed haha.
Wow! Now this was something I wasn't expecting at all...
I think you really managed to stay true to their characters as much as you could within the parameters of the story. As in, personally I can't see this scene occurring (and since DH came out we know it doesn't), but I think you made it work. Just how Ron acted - his attempt at humour and trying to talk to her normally at the beginning was so in character.
The dialogue between Ron and Hermione was perfectly written and paced, in fact all your writing was vivid and really showed all the emotions the characters experienced.
His deed done, Ron pocketed his wand and raised his hood once more. Before departing, however, he glanced over his shoulder and whispered three words to the settling dust and lifeless wreckage in the sitting room behind him.
“I love you.” Wow, what a beautiful way to end a story. Very impressive.
So even though I think the scene is a little unbelievable, I think you wrote this so well that you made it work.
what the bloody hell is this?? i reject this story.. completely.. that guy is NO Ron..
That story is mad. I actually laughed at the end, It's so unlikely.
Very well written though, I liked it
I'm crying. Why the bloody - Why did you get Ron to kill Hermione? Ron would rather have died than kill her!!!
Author's Response: You're absolutely right about that. Sorry I made you cry! I hope you enjoyed it up to that point, though, as I had tremendous fun writing it.
Oh my i'm crying while reading this! I just love the whole Hermione/Ron Ship and when i read the summary i got that it would be grim but oh wow. All in all it was very well written, so original, and even though i could never see it happening i give u props for having the bravery to write it. It really makes you just think outside of the box. Definitely the best unique piece of fan fic i've read. Keep writing!!
Author's Response: Well, I'm sorry I made you cry, but I am glad to see a new review after... five months and five days of silence on this story. Honestly, R/Hr is my OTP and I could never ever in a zillion years see this happening, except that when I wrote it, it could have. Pre DH and all that jazz, you know, when everyone was like "Harry's gonna die and Hermione's actually a man and Snape's a bad guy and Dumbledore's not really dead!" And to be king stands not within the prospect of belief, but I digress. Thanks for the compliments, especially the one about being unique, because I was once accused of never having had an original thought in my life. Anyway. thanks for the review and be sure to check out some of my other fics when you get a chance! I do intend to keep writing, I'm just horrifically slow at it. Thanks again! <3
Oh my god!!! That was awesome!!!
Author's Response: Really? Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it!!!!
totally boss. nice plot twist in there, too. x)
Author's Response: totally...boss? I believe that's a Juno reference. I have yet to see that movie. mwahaha glad you liked it. it was rather sinister, and people are having trouble seeing past that. Thanks for the review!
it brings tears to my eyes (literally).
I like your writing style; right more?
(possibly not so sad)
Wishing To Hear More;
Author's Response: Aaah, I'm sorry I made you cry! But I'm glad you liked my writing and hope you enjoyed it nonetheless. There's more where it came from, and most of it isn't as sad. Just check out my bio for links to all my fics. And thanks so much for the review!
fron book 7- the wallpaper
lol and this is because 13 is unlucky
ps 7 is my lucky number and ITS MY BDAY NEXT WEEK
Author's Response: OH YES! that scene made my life complete. If that can be interpreted in a non-sketchy way, so much the better. Actually, I don't think the 13 thing matters on this story. But HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
lol i have the kiss scene between ron and hermione drawing as my wallpaper
dont ask me why?
Author's Response: Nice. =D
oh my gosh!!! That was fast and painful! I would never have the guts to write something like that!!! you must be very set on making ron evil!!! oh god this is like the worst review ever, I'm sorry. lol
Author's Response: better the worst review ever than no review at all! I appreciate the reaction, really, because I had no idea how people would take this. I hope you liked it until the end, though, and thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Yeah, it is fairly depressing. I suggest a dose of anything Neil Ciceriga created on YouTube as an antidote. That man can do woners, you know. But thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Er... I meant wonders. I don't actually know if the word "woners" is actually a word. Pardon the random typing issues. =D
responce to other review: thank god!!!
as it says on a buddy icon on my profile
keep on smiling and ill keep drooling
and one of my own
sirius black sorely underestimated the danger of curtains
Author's Response: Oh yes. most definitely. I'm glad you've regained feeling in your cardiac system. Haha Ron and his ridiculous dress robes are currently the wallpaper on my desktop. I start drooling every time I boot up my computer. So I'm not actually a violent person. This story just makes it seem like it.
This is so sad! I can't imagine ron EVER doing this because it makes me want to cry! From the beginning I knew his orders but why now, why her? Write a sequel, I need more!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely, one very greedy reader
Author's Response: Yes, it was very sad, but judging by the amount of exclimation points I take it you enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm actually planning a prequel to this that may turn out fairly interestingly... and probably will not be up for a while, given my usual updation speed. But thanks for the review! XO a very thankful author
Well, that was romantic.
Did Ron actually read that book the twins gave him? I don't think there was a chapter on cursing witches.
Seriously, though... I think it's a bit of a stretch to have Ron throw in with the Death Eaters, even in a world where Harry died.
The only way it would ring true (to me) is if Ron thought doing it (joining up)would save those he loved. Then he gets in too deep and finds out the test for his loyalty - kill Hermione or Ginny himself, or watch the other Death Eaters kill both of them.
Even in a world where Ron could be driven to the extreme of killing Hermione, I don't think he says "I love you" to the corpse and walks out. More likely, he takes her wand and uses it to kill himself or obliviate himself.
Author's Response: I know, you're right, I'm sorry? I've said it before and I'll say it again: I WROTE THIS PRE-DH. That means that any of those extremely far-fetched evil things Ron did in this story could have possibly happened when this was written. I cannot control what my mind comes up with, and this is what it pictured. Thank you for the insight, though, it's always appreciated. And thanks for the review!
too far fetched to ever be taken seriously
Author's Response: Yes, it probably is. But you have to remember I wrote this way back before DH, when that whole Ron's Evil Anagram conspiracy thing was everywhere. I think that's what inspired this, to be honest.
Wow. It was certainly very well written, but even though it was AU, Ron just seemed so out of character. I mean, not just with the kissing/killing, but the way he spoke (in the books Ron was never really one for polished dialogue). All the same, it was quite an interesting read!
Author's Response: Well, I'm glad you found it interesting. I knew going in I wouldn't get Ron head on, because, well, he would never ever in a million years actually join the death eaters. I don't actually know what I was doing, writing this. That's my sole defense. But thank you for the review!
Very funny. Really!
Author's Response: Um. Ok then. Thanks for the review, at any rate!
Hooooooooooly crap, Juli! Should I hate you for this? XD
You had Ron join the dark side (im not even gonna comment on how you made harry die. you ALWAYS do that :-P), and you had him kill hermione! And she was just started to soften up to him.
It was extremely well-written, though, because I saw the scene in front of me and I felt such anger when I saw Ron's dark mark, and I felt absolutely infuriated when he killed Hermione. What about Andrew?! You are, indeed, one ruthless killer, Juli =D....I could never, in a million years, bring myself to write something so...raw.....he kissed her then he killed her....he said avada kedavra then i love you...just...wow
....I got that dull ache at the pit of my stomach now, and it's time for breakfast...curse you XD
I miss talkin to ya, you know! :-)
Author's Response: No, Sarah, you shoudn't hate me for this, because I'm honestly a very nice person who just has absurdly evil plots wandering around in her mind. Yeah, he had to kill her. I thought that was obvious from the start, but then again, I always knew how it ended. What about Andrew? That was a random throw-away directed at the Drew fangirls from EEIF, because they asked for it so nicely. Nothing bad happened to him. It gives you that "aw, snap!" feeling, doesn't it? and I have, apparently, been watching the Disney Channel far too much. But no more of that now, because you're right and it IS time for breakfast. I miss talking to you too! I'll email you on Tuesday when exams are over, all right? <3
