That was exactly how I'd expect Petunia to act, hasn't mellowed has she? I do hope there's someone who can tell Callie more about Lily. And I hope she and Harry become closer and maybe they'll find more out together. I'm wondering if Snape is Callie's father but i'm not sure if there's enough time between Callie's birth and James and lily getting together. It's a shame people's memories don't automatically become lodged in pensieve's within the department of mysteries to be perused at leisure. Anyway, hope to read the next chapter soon, especially as there doesn't seem to be any indication of where Callie can go from here. A right cliff top you've left us on.
Author's Response: Thanks! I was really concerned with making Petunia's reactions realistic, since we really don't see much of her interactions with anyone but her family members in the books. I modeled it a little off of how she acted towards Hagrid in SS/PS, and I'm glad to hear that it worked =] I just submitted the next chapter; hopefully it will be validated soon. What an awful thing to find out. She got all excited because she'd found Lily's name and then she finds out it's too late. Wonder how Harry will feel when he finds out he has a sister. I wonder if Snape's Callie's father, but I'm not sure if that'd work. Can't wait for the next installment.

This is a great (and addictive) read. :) Definitely leaves me wondering who Callie's dad is and whether he's still alive for her to meet him-- and since my top two guesses both taught at Hogwarts (Lupin for just a year, though), whether she was unknowingly his student. If Callie's father is who I think it is, then that makes the breakup of that particular friendship even sadder (which I didn't think was possible). I know it could also be James, but that would be too tidy, right? :) Looking forward to the next installation.

Oh no, I've just got so wound up over this story and now I can't believe I've run out of chapters. I do have one question, how could Lily give up her daughter? Not that I can't see how some people might, you must ruly love a child if you give them up for a better life, but Lily? I mean she had parents who could help her, James, who I assume was the father, wasn't poor, surely they could've wi=orked something out. Hopefully this will all become clear when the rest of the story is posted. This fic is great though, can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: Well, the full reasons for her giving up the baby will become clear in later chapters, but I would like to point out that she was only about 16, which is extraordinarily young to be responsible for a child. Even so, I'll just say that her age wasn't the only reason that she gave up the baby. It'll all become clearer soon enough =] Thanks for your review!
IT WAS SNAPE!!!! I KNEW IT!!! Snape and Lily did it, and Lily got pregnant, and when she came, Lily's dad brought the baby to the orphanage, and the rest is history! Guess Lily wasn't the sweet girl we all know (hey, it could happen at Hogwarts, it happens at my school all the time! (And I'm not naming names! (I mean, why would I? (And yes, I'll stop with the ")))" )))) 10/10

ooh, I love a good mystery! But I don't like cliffhangers!! grrrr.... They did this with Pushing Dasies, too. One of the aunts was Chuck's mom, but we never found out if Olive told Chuck! Anyway... 10/10 UPDATE!!
