That was beautiful. I want to cry, really? You did my Sev/Lily loving heart good, Tash, especially since I was just forced to read an awful James/Lily for a dare. But this, this made me forgot all about that the moment I began reading it. I was entranced, because this story was wonderful.
I loved it - the idea that they only had to forgive themselves which is SO true. And I love that Lily always regretted breaking the friendship. It was something that I always was angry at her for, but at this moment, I think I can understand and am not so angry. I just loved the characterization, and how she chose Sev and not James. I love, love, love it.
I hope you do well in the challenge. *hugs* Thanks for writing such a beautiful story.

I really liked the part where Lily said they needed to forgive themselves instead of forgiving each other.
*reminisces to a discussion in the Ravenclaw CR* Lily...really was a fool in her 5th year. No, seriously. I still remember those VERY valid points Carrot made.
Severus had every reason to be hurt by her. HOWEVER, since he became a Death Eater, he thought that he had all the flaws in the world and Lily had none.
Oh oh oh and I loved the part where Lily says that with James, she was too perfect, and with Severus, she was broken enough.
I loved the ending, and the memory.

Hmmm... I'm a little confused... Does this mean Lily's going to be with him as a friend, or as MORE than a friend? She said "Potter" made her feel too perfect...is she ditching him in the afterlife? Sorry I'm just a little confused. Nice idea for a story, though.That chapter "The Prince's Tale" in DH made me cry. I always hope that somewhere outside of space and time Lily and Snape made amends. :)
I like this a lot... Severus has deserved a bit of love that he didn't get anywhere in the series... and this gave it to him! I've been wanting to see something like this for a while. Good job!
wow. this was a complete surprise. i'll admit that from the summary, I thought that lily wanted to forgive snape before marrying james....but I really liked this. don't change the summary, suspense is good. and I LIKE stories that make me go back and reread the first paragraphs again.
although i will say that I think you use the word 'broken' too much.
