This fic just provoked a thought and as I seldom experience such phenomena I was compelled to share it. How many others in the Potterverse have created Horcruxes?

Author's Response: I've always been of the belief that many other witches/wizards have created horcruxes - it's just that nobody's ever heard about them. My personal thoughts were that they were originally created by the witch/wizard who trained Merlin, who also created one, but then later reversed it. I believe HE was the one who wrote 'Secrets of the Darkest Art' - I mean, who else had both the magical expertise to know how to create horcruxes AND have the desire to reverse it?

This was very well written, you really know how to enrich a story with detail. Despite this being only one chapter I feel as though i've read a whole book. The Dark Maid is chilling, I wonder how it is that after all her hard work she allowed the Dark Lord she so fervently desired to come to power to fall at the hands of Harry Potter. I wonder if Damon Gaunt will be happier as Ariel Prince, after all he seemed a very angry young man.

Wow that was a great story, L liked the twist of the Dark Maid being Rowena's sister.

Very entrancing story. Had me on the edge of my seat.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review... I'm surprised to have it labelled as 'entrancing', though, but I guess I can't complain!
