Love it! I was always enthralled with the bad-ass guerrilla fighter Neville of Book 7, so thanks for a story that gives me an excuse to squee some more. Hahaha.
.....wow. That was an amazing experience. I feel.... more..... what's the word? I now have more respect and sympathy for Neville. I always knew he'd gone through a lot, but blimey.....
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you feel that way; I've always had the impression that Neville was one character always being thrown to the side like. He has a story too ... he could have so easily been in Harry's place, and even though he wasn't, they both experience very similar lives and challenges (they both lost their parents at a young age ... they're both vital in the end for defeating Voldie). And I think that that is where I was trying to go with this fic, at least partly.
I totally love this because it shows just how strong Neville really is, all while keeping him in character. Not enough fics manage to do that.
The writing was beautiful and the message poignant. Seriously – I adored it. Redemption (that's how I see this, in a way) is such a great theme.
All in all, great job!

Wow... That was great! Neville is one of my favorite characters and you characterized him so well. I love the way you worked up to Harry, Ron, and Hermoine's return, and then, killing the snake --my favorite scene in the entire series! -- so I'm glad to hear it from his POV. I was inching my way to the edge of the seat the whole time... Definitely going to faves!
Author's Response: Thanks for your wonderful review! I am so happy that you think I portrayed Neville right. This was my 1st story featuring Neville. The scene where he kills the snake is definitely one of the greatest scenes in the series! It shows how Neville's evolved from that timid 1st yr with lots of insecurities, to the man he's become!
