Author's Response: Lucky for you, the first chapter of a fic always takes the longest, and it doesn't help when it is rejected twice! Also, the two-paragraph bit at the beginning was added in just recently, because originally it picked up literally two seconds after CtP, but it was rejected because the mods felt the sequel was unnecessary if it resembled it too much. Anyway, hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Thanks for R/Ring!

Hermione's right- he is sort of growing up. I can see him wanting to leave them behind, but I think he might want them to come along, too. Sorry if that's confusing!
That was a pretty exciting start to the new book. I hope Harry fixes everything! I really can't guess what you're going to do. Not that that's a bad thing- it just makes it more exciting!

There's no doubt in my mind that Harry WOULD want Ron and Hermione along with him to help...but there's also no doubt that he's playing the part of the "hero", as Voldemort put it in DH, and not allowing them to potentially sacrifice themselves to help him fix mistakes he alone made. Hope that makes sense. See you at Ch. 2!
