Chapter: Chapter 24 - Coming to Terms

I can't figure out what kind of controversy this chapter would cause? Harry is still maturing, and boys usually mature later than girls. It's been less than three months since he "died" then killed Voldemort. Most people would be in a lot worse shape than he is in. He's been made to feel guilty by the Dursley's his entire life, and that isn't something that goes away quickly. The Weasley's are all acting as I would expect any family would after the loss of Fred and George's emotional/curse problems. What don't people understand?

Author's Response: Most people were critical of the fact that I made the Weasley family seem too mean and Harry shouldn't feel guilty about anything. But as you've rightly pointed out, all his life, that's all he's known, one triumph over a dark wizard isn't going to change that overnight. It is a process - people here at Mugglenet have been, overall, kinder than at SIYE, where I get panned on almost every chapter, I wonder why I keep posting there...probably just to finish it...might as well? besides, if I wait for Mugglenet, I'll be dead by the time this story is finally done being validated :p

Chapter: Chapter 23 - Twisted Paths Cross

I'm still not seeing anything illogical in anything you've written. Whoever has been giving you grief doesn't have a clue about real life. And real life is the way you've been writing.

Author's Response: man, it was the whole SIYE website that was, and still is, giving me hell. There are quite a few people that are like, this can't happen, families don't react this way, I wish I lived in a magical world, no pun intended, where these things didn't occur...death and madness are impossible to deal with in a family...it takes more strength of character than most people realise, I think. Thank you for commenting!

Chapter: Chapter 22 - Stolen Moments

I couldn't stop reading if I wanted to. The story progression works perfectly. If anything I would expect more tension than has been shown. It's all making perfect sense to me. Maybe I'm the one who's weird.

Author's Response: there were a lot of complaints around these chapters from most people, but I think since you're getting to read them all at once, you have an unfair advantage ;) I'm glad you're still enjoying it and reading it :)

Chapter: Chapter 21 - Healing Hurts

Having three older brothers I can easily sympathize with Ginny. So far I've read nothing that is illogical. It all makes perfect sense to me.

Author's Response: I'm glad someone thinks so - quite a few people like to tell me how poorly this story is mapped out...it must be nice to criticise and not put yourself out there ;)

Chapter: Chapter 20 - The Truth Will Not Set You Free

It was the "strong hands on shoulders" line that made me think of kidnapping. Just jumping to early conclusions. I like the way you wrote it much better than the way I thought things were happening. Hopefully George will come through fine. I'd like to think things will work out somewhat like the Epilogue. I'm a hopeless romantic.

Author's Response: ah, I'm glad that made more sense :p I was like, what? I'm glad you enjoyed it, I actually did labour over writing some of these very 'physical' chapters. I am too, but romance is a far ways coming...I should warn you now ;)

Chapter: Chapter 19 - The Hits Keep Coming

I was expecting George to do something vile, but kidnapping?

Author's Response: he didn't kidnap anyone - if I remember, and I haven't read this chapter in a long time...

Chapter: Chapter 18 - Birthday Surprises

Definitely interested. I may just try the other site you mentioned when I've finished the chapters here.

Author's Response: please do, I have more chapters there, so you'll get to see more of the story - thank you for commenting :)

Chapter: Chapter 16 - Comings and Goings

Don't know what Harry might think to ask for, but I'm pretty sure I know what he's giving Ginny for her birthday.

Author's Response: it'll be interesting, I promise ;) and it might not be what you think :)

Chapter: Chapter 15 - Thoughtful Provocations

I do like the progression. I'm guessing it looks slow to people because there isn't a "whole" book to read at once.
I looked for the link to flannelfiction you mentioned but did not see it. Where did I not look?

Author's Response: it's in my profile, but it's on livejournal - I'm surprised if you don't google flannel fiction that it wouldn't come up. I just put chapter fifty up today, so there's a lot more you could read there. To speak to the timing, the updating here is tough, sometimes it takes weeks or months to get a new chapter up due to the moderation queue. I push them through as fast as I can, but that's all I can do!

Chapter: Chapter 14 - Night Time Conversations

I can feel something is going to happen - just don't know if it's good or bad

Author's Response: a few things happen, but you'll have to wait and see :)

Chapter: Chapter 12 - Suspicions Around Us

Percy is most certainly acting like he's under someone else's control. The question being is: Who's control and is George a victum?

Author's Response: Percy is an interesting character, but I think he means well after everything that happened.

Chapter: Chapter 11 - Curiosities Abound

Hmmmm...Wonder if his distant relations knew what he did for a living. Or if Voldemort knew he had a distant relative working in the Auror office.

Author's Response: I wouldn't be surprised if Voldemort or someone that worked with him did know. Voldemort did have a way of knowing most anything!

Chapter: Chapter 9 - Strained Silence

Pins and needles on what route George takes. I most certainly feel the reasons behind his behaviour having been in the "loss column" myself. After my husband died, I most certainly wanted everyone else to be as miserable as I was.

Author's Response: I have never dealt with loss to that magnitude, and I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but I often pictured people in that much pain not having an easy go of things, and twins are said to be two halves of the same whole. I'm glad you're enjoying the story - much more to come :)
