My summer holidays are in exactly a month as well, so if you could (not to be pushy, because I really have no problem with your grammar. Probably the only time I've seen a perfect grammar-story-type-thing) beta my Next Generation story, called Halfway There, that would be great. And I wish we had no homework over summer like you, but my teacher believes in hard work and determination, quite like the teacher that spoke in military terms that I had last year. And, again, 1000000000000000000000000000000000000/10 (or a kijilliondyiest) for the story. {Becca}

Author's Response: I would love to beta your next-gen story! I tend to have a little homework over the summer, but not nearly as much as school-- just some packets and required reading. But I am starting AP courses next year, so I may have more than usual.

Ugh double post! So sorry. {Becca}

Author's Response: That's okay! It happens all the time.

I read this story again for about the 500th time cos it never gets old. So, if I didn't rate it before, a kajilliondy six/10 and I think you should totally become a real author, Schmergo! You'd be a legend! Kinda like John Lennon! And Jo! And Monty Python! {Becca}
P.S. If you're a beta reader, what categories would you beta? I have some of probably every category and I wanted to post one. Alas, my mom won't let me and, if she ever caves, i need a beta. :D :D :D :D :D

Author's Response: Whoopsie daisies!

Author's Response: Awww, thank you! I'm personally kinda proud of this one. I really want to be a real author when I grow up, even if I have to live as a hobo in the sewers for thirty years. I don't really do betaing anymore, because it's really time consuming, so I only do it during summer holidays (in about a month for me) when I don't have homework.

This is a conforting story, because my friend just died. Thanks for writing it. IT made me laugh.

Author's Response: Oh no, I'm so sorry about your friend! I remember when a girl in my math class died in a car accident, and I didn't even know her that well, but I was really upset... I can't imagine losing a good friend. I'm glad the story made you laugh, though! Writing it certainly made me feel better about old Fred dying...

OH MY MUFFIN!!!!! AMAZING!!!!! you have mad skills.
Great story idea!
-may the muffins be with you.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! And it's very encouraging to hear that the muffins will be with me. I do enjoy a good muffin from time to time.

I loved it, I loved quite a lot!! It had me cracking up, but I cried at the end (which is completely normal, I cry till I'm dry, but it has never happenned with any of your stories)...Ooh Davy Jones, indeed! I always love it when Pirates is mencioned... Molly  Weasley has powers the Dark Lord knows not! Yes, she has always managed to intimidate the twins much more effectively than any Deaht Eater. Oh, I would be dead scared to go watch "Attack Of the Placentas"... sounds as creepy as it can get! That book you mentioned at the beginning "Discworld", isn't it frm an aythor called Terry Prattchet or something? Because I have got a book he wrote with Neil Gaiman (the author of "Stardust" and "Anansi Boys") that is called "Good Omens" and it completely awesomely funny! You should read it, you would get it much better than me, full with regionalisms... Oh, but if you are too religious ypu probably won't like it, I'm an atheist, so I really loved it... but give it a shot, really. OH Do you remember that show with puppets and silly songs I told you about? I'm sorry, it is not in English... I just translated the names of the songs and the other things because I thought it would make a funny comment... sorry, cause it is a great show. One last thing before I stop bugging you, have you read THE GOLDEN COMPASS by Philip Pullman? I tell you, read that trilogy, if you haven't. I strongly recommended it. Oh , I'm readind Artemis Fowl... like it so far. Oh, I am so rorry, I got overexited with this keyboard. Once again, I adore your stories, keep up the good work.

Author's Response: My dear, thank you very much! I had a little too much fun writing this story, so I love to receice reviews for it.Yep, Terry Pratchett wrote Discworld and helped write Good Omens. I actually like Good Omens a lot, even though I'm /very/ religious (heh, can't you tell from this story?), just because the book is funny, so I didn't take the message uber-seriously. Weirdly enough, though, I don't think I can bring myself to read His Dark Materials, just 'cos Phillip Pullman says some pretty subversive stuff in interviews that I thought wasn't very nice... saying things like he hopes his books "convert" children to atheism. I personally don't think people should say that about atheism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, any of those things-- I don't think everyone who reads this story should convert to Christianity. *Shrug* This is awkward. I'll stop saying this...

wow. I am seriously crying right now.
this is an amazing story.

Author's Response: Oh my gosh, thank you! This is actually the story that I am the proudest of of everything I've written, so I'm extremely glad!

oh its so sweet but so sad i want to cry becuase fred had to die and watch everyone else

Author's Response: Thank you! I have to admit, bits of it kind of broke my heart to write... but it does make me feel a little better about Fred dying, somehow.

haha hilarious! I loved John Lennon. I accidentally called him a 'mad hippie' in music to my teacher (who loves the beatles) and felt like an idiot because he's her favorite. Well, great story and I loved it! {Becca}

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm especially proud of this story... I think it's my best one that I have up here, and I'm really glad that you liked this one!

"hey, there goes that Marty bloke..."
i almost died.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I'm really glad you liked it. I'm rather proud of this one...

LOL!!! That was absolutely beautiful! Gred And Forge were in perfect character! And i like how you portrayed Gred... going on beautifully! (im christian if your wondering). that really brightened up my day! *tears roll down my eye out of the beauty of your story* keep writing shmergo!
P.S. 99th review! cool ;-)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I was really worried about my characterization of Gred and Forge, so I'm glad you liked it! Though I'm not sure which of the twins you mean by Gred... I'm Christian, too (my mum teaches Sunday school), and this is how I always imagined heaven... I've gotten a few readers who objected to that, but I say no one on earth can know what it's really like, so we might as well use our imaginations.

Simpsons reference...Well, in the Simpsons, this character named Bart's catch phrase is "eat my shorts." In one episode, they do a spoof on Amadeus, that movie about Mozart's life, and in the Simpsons spoof Bart is Mozart. On his death bed, he says "eat my shorts" and then his head lolls back, much as George's does in this.

Author's Response: I LOOOOOOVE AMADEUS. That movie is adorable, and it stars Tom Hulce, who voiced Quasimodo in "Hunchback of Notre Dame."

Okay, I had no idea that was from the Simpsons. I've just always thought "Eat my shorts" was a funny line ever since I saw an Australian goblin say it in a weird flash movie spoof of "Lord of the Rings" that I saw when I was twelve, and I've tried to use it as much as possible. THAT IS ONE MIGHTY STRANGE COINCIDENCE.

OMG!!! This was so good!!!!! It was hilarious and sad and sweet.... Certainly the longest one-shot I have ever read but well worth it! Loved the references to POTC, Monty Python, Simpsons (from the episode where Bart is Mozart), etc. Last line was prefect, too. *sighs contentedly* That was all-around excellent.

Author's Response: Zank you, zank you! It WAS long... It was written in five chapters, but I had to submit it the day before the challenge, so I had to combine all the challenges. I don't remember making a Simpsons reference, though... I've never actually seen that show. Care to enlighten me?

Yeah!!! That was awesome!!! Makes me think of what my last words might be... Ahs the possibilities...

Author's Response: Yeah, I should draw up a list for mine... thanks so much for reading and reviewing this and so many of my other stories.

Wow, that was really superb... as usual.

I loved all the little references, and I also liked how you incorporated humour and more serious things into the same story. I really loved the idea of George's ear being a communication system.

Do I give you a 9999999999999/10 for this story?
In your underwear drawer!

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you! All of your lovely reviews are really making my day. Of all of the stories I've written for fanfiction, this one, "Love A Duck!" and the Theodore Nott ones are closest to the writing style I use when writing non-fanfic stories (the bulk of my writing), so I'm glad you liked it.

If I spawn a worldwide trend of saying "In your underwear drawer," I would laaaaaugh... just don't say it around your fiancee! ^_^

This story is by far THE BEST one-shot I have ever read. Possibly even the best story, too.

Why it is the best one-shot, however, is because all in one chapter you caught the comedy in the story, keeping Fred and George very alive (figuratively speaking of course) by keeping their characters very true and believable. You also made it very sad by letting us see what Fred had to endure watching over the years of his life and not growing up, making us realize what was really a result of Fred's death. I for one have finally been able to cope with his death now that this story has been posted.

I cried so much during this story *which I blame you for my swollen eye now ;) j.k j.k) and laughed at the same time. I love Fred to peices, though that may be George's job... Anyway, you captured the characters, the story, and even the characters you simply made up beautifully!

You totally and completely deserve any awards this story may ever recieve and in any contest it is ever entered in!

Great job!

Author's Response: Oh my gosh! Thank you so, very, very miuch! I'm really glad you liked the characterization because I was nervous about tackling such awesome characters as Fred and George. And I was very touched that you said this story helped you cope with Fred's death.... I wrote it to help me cope.

I did enter this story in a contest, but unfortunately it didn't win or place. Ah well! You can always nominate it for next year's Quicksilver Quills, wink-wink! ^_^

WOW!!! This was S0000 unbelievably touching... and hilarious...

You're absolutely brilliant!!! It's so original, like, totally, and I loved every single word, even the "and"s and the "the"s, and Scary Plant Girl was classic, and I was crying so hard, and laughing so hard, and nodding so hard at your descriptions of heaven and death, and now I'm typing so hard, and hardly believing there's a better fic out there...

"He’d have understood if George had taken a moment to sigh and wish that his twin brother could have been there, but no, instead, he’d told Fred not to say anything, to watch but not participate.

And he’d never be married himself, he realized. It wasn’t just the marriage, either. Getting married was definite proof that George was growing up. And Fred wasn’t. George had a whole life ahead of him, and Fred’s was all behind him.

George was a married man now, which meant it was awkward for Fred to watch him as much as he had before. Not that George needed him. All that mattered to him now was his wife. He fed her plants raw filet mignon. He gave her the secret formula for all of the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes products. He completely let her in on everything.

They finished each other’s sentences and shared inside jokes.
George had said that if Fred hadn’t died, he’d have kicked him out of the flat over the store and made him get a new house. Fred couldn’t help but wonder what else George would have shut him out of.

They were twins. They’d done everything together. And now they couldn’t."

You're such a S000000000000000000per writer, you characterized Fred and George purrrrfectly, you're so original, your stories are so deep, and funny, I heart them!!! Heart heart!!!

You made me actually accept Fred's death, and that's something no-one else could ever do... but I'm still sobbing over Sirius... *HINT HINT*

~nuggy ;)

Author's Response: OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!!!!!! Thanks so much for this wonderful review. It's so nice and touching and detailed and goooood!

I'm glad you liked Eglantine and my characterizations of Fred und George! And I'm REALLY glad that you're accepting Fred's death. If you're still upset about Sirius, I have a story called, "Oh No, Nott Again" which stars Theodore Nott, but has an important appearance from Sirius!

Oh my Godric. I think it's amazing how you could make me laugh and cry at the same time, Schmergo, because that's exactly what I'm doing now. Humor, your forte, of course, yet with such bittersweetness...yikes. Beautiful. *goes off to find tissues*

Author's Response: Dude, deja vu!
