Augh! Okay, this definitely needs a sequel! I would gladly read it! It was so much fun, and I loves Ginny's character! I'll be on the lookout!

Wow. Never in my life would I have thought I would enjoy a Lucius/Ginny fic as much as I have enjoyed this one.

The whole ideal was really business-y and fast paced. It had some twists here and there, that kept me reading through it all.

There is one complaint. Arthur. He would willingly give up his only daughter, just to save his wife for a treatment that may prove inafective or may even kill her? I just can't see him doing that. I think what would have been more realistic is that Ginny does this all without telling her father, mother, or brothers, so that way, no one could really stop her.

"Because your familyís fertility is legendary, and illegitimate children cannot inherit, Lucius thought wryly. There was no reason to go into that now, though."

This line made me chuckle a bit. It was funny and what a Malfoy would have said. But, weasley's are Blood-Traitors. Would it have really been that great of a move for Lucius to marry a blood-traitor and bring dishonor to the Malfoy name?
Ginny would really have to seem as a Muggle hating, Muggleborn sneering snob. And.. she would have to break things off with her family. Molly, Arthur, and her brothers are just to kind to hate people just because of who they are, and, Weasley's are Blood-Traitors. And Ginny would also have to quite being friends with Harry, Hermione, Luna, and Neville. Even though Neville is Pure-Blood, his parents were part of the Order.

Now, enough with my nit-picking!

This was a great one-shot. I really do enjoy reading one shots! They sometimes hold more potential then those long, chaptered stories that could sometimes just be forgotten.

Now, this one-shot demands another one, though. That's one of the signs that you have written a great one shot. People want more. Or, that's one of my signs. :P

"Her fate was sealed with a kiss."

This was THE perfect ending line. It's both romantic and... forbiding. But that's just me.

This was a great story. I really liked it! yea.

Please continue!!! I haven't read a one shot in a long time that has had me wanting more! Lucius' characterization is spot on. Ginny as Draco's step mother... superb idea. This will certainly be a story to watch out for.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

This is lovely - though I really do think that you could continue this and make it a lovely chaptered fic with this idea since there are so many places that you could take it . . . . I'd love to see that!

As for the story that is here, though, I really loved it. The characterization was wonderful - I loved Lucius's inner dialog - and I don't think that there is another character from the "Trio Era" that could pull off offering themselves to Lucius for money better than Ginny could - good choice!

If nothing else, the young witch broke the monotony of a day at the office.

This is both a wonderful line and a line that could have masses of more information and detail that would draw in readers. We know that he's quite high up in a company, but where? Does he own it (personally, I don't see Lucius working for anybody)?

Another thing that I noticed that slightly irked me was how quickly Ginny accepted that she would have to marry a man that she hates to get a treatment that may or may not help her mother to survive the bout of Dragon Pox. I think that if she initially refused, then was coaxed a little more, then came back the next day, then it would be more believable. However, considering the circumstances surrounding the Harry/Ginny relationship in both HBP and DH, I think that the way was think of single!Ginny is a bit different from relationship!Ginny, so she was still very much in character.

Finally, Iíd like to say that I love, love, LOVE the line ďThere is passion in hatred.Ē Itís just so . . . . thought-evoking. It really is.

Lovely story and I hope to see more of the same kind of thing Ė if you wish to continue it, of course. If you donít, then Iíll just love what Iíve already read and re-read.

Author's Response: Oh! I do love lengthy, thoughtful reviews! You've made my day! The original idea was for this to be a stand alone drabble, which is why I didn't bother more with explaining what Lucius does for a living. I thought it would detract from the focus of the story, which is really that Ginny is desperate to save her mother any way she can. I understand your resistance to the idea that Ginny would agree to a marriage so quickly. I suppose my feeling was that if she was desperate enough to come to Lucius in the first place then the leap from prostituting herself to becoming his wife is not too large. In for a penny, in for a pound and all that, right? I'm glad you liked the passion line. That's my favorite, too. I am toying with the idea of continuing. I'd intended to keep this as a one shot, but the bunny won't leave me alone. Unfortunately, the bunny is rather naughty, so future chapters will probably not be suitable for MNFF. If you care to, you are welcome to keep an eye on my ff.net account to watch for updates. I go by KateinVA over there. Thank you again for leaving such an excellent review!

I like it! I do however think the idea is much to interesting to be a one shot. I leaves all these thoughts hanging in the wind. The family back-lash on both sides, how her friendship with Harry is affected. (I'll assume they're friends for this story.) Let alone that the plot clearly leads to children. Regardless of Ginny's hate for Lucius I can't see Molly Weasley's daughter not loving her children unconditionally. I guess my point is please consider making this more than a one shot!

Author's Response: That's it for now, and probably all that I'll post here. I am playing with a continuation, but it will likely be too high a rating for MNFF.
