an exciting end to an excellent story. I look forward to reading more of ur work, but its a shame this story had to end. ah, well, all's well that ends well. Congrats, this is the best story ive read in a very long time, and dont tell jkr, but I like this better than hers.
Author's Response: I definitely won't tell Jo (since I don't know her, that'l be relatively easy). But I do have to say, and I don't think this is false modesty at all, that this story was built on the very firm foundation she created. It was a fun journey, however, and I'm sure I'll be making a return journey soon. Thanks!
Hello again, um, would you consider posting your fanfiction on my website http://s15.invisionfree.com/_Lumos you can e-mail me at Sirius_leigh_Black@hotmail.com
Author's Response: I'll certainly consider it. When I have time, I'll go check out your site and let you know, okay?
I loved this Fic. it was awesome, and the careful meaning behind each name, was just wow. You'd be a awesome author. I plan to read everything you've written.
Author's Response: Thank you! This is my only fanfic so far, but I hope to write more.
This is one of the most heart-warming stories I have ever read. Stories such as these make me appreciate more Harry Potter's world! Sorry if I haven't been reviewing in every chapter *flashes a sheepish grin*, but rest assured I've been keeping up with your story all the way. I so loved the ending! Every word of it! Every emotion it had! I never thought James teasing Albus about being in Slytherin would last a year. lol And thinking about Lily like that was so cute! She's right! He's Daddy! :D Aww, I dunno whether to laugh or cry as well. haha. Hope to hear more stories from you soon!
Author's Response: Thank you! Considering the fact that I started this story with Harry being so wrapped up in his career that he neglects his family, I felt it was most appropriate to end it with Harry realiziing at long last that his most important role in life was as Ginny's husband and James, Al and Lily's dad. Because when you get right down to it, no man ever said on his deathbed, "If only I'd spent more time at the office," right? As for James winding Albus up, over Slytherin or anything else for that matter, I think that was more or less a constant in their relationship (poor Al!) so, yeah, the whole Slytherin business could have started then. Anyway, thanks for your comments. Belated or not, they are very much appreciated.
THIS IS AMAZING! Thank you so much for constantly updating and congratulations for doing such a great job!!
Author's Response: Thank YOU so very much. Your review is deeply appreciated, as is your praise.
the best part about this story was-you updated very regularly...i loved your story it was one of the best post hogwarts stories i've read...hope you plan to write more
Author's Response: Once I get going, I can generally keep up the momentum, it's just getting started I have trouble with sometimes. I do plan to write more. Thanks for your comments.
well i dont know about anyone else, but i absolutely loved THE LETTER, and i cant wait for your christmas story, i have saved you in my favourite authors so i can get an update when its posted. congrats on such a fabulous fanfic, and i hope to read more in the future. oh and now its december HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Author's Response: Thank you so much. Your comments and praise are very much appreciated. I will get that Christmas story written as soon as possible. Happy holidays to you too!
awsome story, it was written well, are you planning on writing any other stories?
Author's Response: Thank you very much. Yes, I am planning to write more stories. I have a Christmas story (one-shot) already started that deals with many of the same themes as this one, and some ideas for other longer fics. Stay tuned!
I really enjoyed the story. This was one of the highest quality authorships I've read on this site. My favorite part was the little conversation between Albus and Harry. As a middle child and a personality similar to Albus's, I definitely felt a connection there. I hope to see him in an important role in your future stories.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I like Albus too. I think he drew a "dumb" spot in the family, a little like Ron in a way, but Al is so much more sensitive than his uncle, more like Harry though without Harry's deep-seated pain. I will consider writing more about Albus, but my next full-length fic, I think, will be Teddy based. He came to life so vividly for me in the course of this story, maybe because there are so many similarities between him and Harry as well. I see Teddy as Harry with a happy childhood, and want to explore that a bit more before I move on to other characters. So thanks again and stay tuned for future developments!
Once again, so awesome! I like that you included all the name meanings; I knew a few of them, but it was still interesting. I also felt a little let down by the epilogue, too! I hope to see your next story up soon!
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the name meanings. I debated whether or not to put that in there, but I've always enjoyed reading things like that about Jo's characters on the Lexicon and elsewhere, so I thought, what the heck. I will be focusing on getting my Christmas story completed, hopefully before this site shuts down for the holidays (I'm almost certain I'll be able to get it done in the next couple of weeks) so keep an eye out, okay? Thanks so much for your comments. Your reviews and readership mean a lot to me.
This is such a wonderful story!! I am going to miss getting the regular updates from you!!!
So glad to hear that you are working on more stories.
You are an excellent writer and I cannot wait to read more of your work!!
Author's Response: I'm going to miss this story a lot myself. It's been such a fun jaunt into this delightful world, and I will definitely make a return visit. Thanks so much for your comments and for sticking with the story. It means a great deal to me.
*Sniffs* that was such a beautiful story! I cant blieve its over! I ttly agree with u that JKR didn't leave a very satisfying end b4 the epilogue and this is a great filler for it! U definitly write jst like JKR! Cant wait for ur nxt stories! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: I'm so glad I was able to provide a little "closure" for you. I wrote to fill in the gaps for myself and it's very satisfying to know I was able to offer the same to others. Thanks for your comments. Any comparison to JKR is very flattering to me, and I'm certainly encouraged to keep writing for readers like you. Take care!
That was the best, The Ending was good too.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Your comments and loyalty to the story mean a great deal to me.
NO!!!!!!It can't be over, I feel just like I did when I finished the DH....*sniffle*...will you write other fanfics?
Author's Response: I feel a little sad about ending the story myself, but so glad you've enjoyed it. Yes, I do plan to write more fanfics. I have a Christmas story already in the works, a one-shot dealing with many of the same themes I touched in 'The Letter,' and some possible plot bunnies for future full-length fics. So keep an eye out, okay? Thanks for your loyalty to the stories and for your reviews. They are greatly appreciated.
Glad to read your response--I too prefer to read a good fic that creates a story within canon. And I agree, people do some some pretty idiotic things when they're young (not that idiocy can't creep into later adulthood as well--which you've been good to include in your work here). I suppose I'd still just like to think that even at those young ages, our heroes might have learned from their 9 plus years of friendship and not have gotten into quite the same messes. It's just a personal... preference, I guess you might say--I'm rather attached to them, after all, and hate to see them bollocks things up so royally :) But I'm glad you worked it out for them--and your's is a perfectly legitamate and lovely interpretation of the future, so hat's off to you! Once again, very nice work. I'll be looking out for the epilogue--cheers!
Author's Response: lol! Yes, idiocy is certainly not limited to youth. One need only examine most governments to know that it is no respecter of age, but youth does seem to attract an unusual number of "messes" as you put it. And with Ron & Hermione, especially, you've just got to know that their courtship could not have been simple or easy. I'm not sure I get their relationship. I adore them and find the whole thing highly amusing, but I can't quite figure how they make it work. I'm certain they do, but I don't quite understand it. Thanks for th extra review. I love 'em and I'll take as many as I can get. Cheers to you too!
those kids are smart!!!!! *BROVO* cheers congrats on being my absolute fav fanfic author *claping*
Author's Response: Well, thank you very much! *bows to applause* I appreciate your readership and your faithful reviews. The Epilogue should be up soon. Take care!
eeeeeeppppppp for once in my twelve 1/2 years im at a loss for words
Author's Response: Twelve and a half yet? I don't think you're the kind of person who would often find herself at a loss for words, so I must have accomplished something in rendering you speechless. Not sure what it is, but it's an accomplishment, right?
whats gonna happen oohhhh *snif*
lola is scared
Author's Response: Sorry! And don't cry. Keep reading, okay?
AAAAHHHHHHHH ARE THE KIDS OKAY YIKES OH MY GOODNES ROB *gasp* LOLA DID NOT SUSPECT HIM WOAH
p.s. love the percy thing hahahahahaha
Author's Response: No, I didn't intend for you to suspect Rob. He's a complete ringer. (How long have you been referring to yourself in the 3rd person this way? Is this like a quirk or an affliction of some kind? It's interesting!) Yeah, good old Percy. He's so easy to scapegoat, bless him. I figure he was pretty drunk, or he never would have done it.
yay ted is okay alright i cam breath now
Author's Response: Yep, Teddy is okay. And Victoire is there to make him feel better, so he's probably breathing too. A little heavily maybe, but definitely breathing!
