Author's Response: Glad you are re-reading. It's a one-shot, though, so I'm afraid that's all there is of this one. Feel free to re-read "As Happily Ever After...". That's got more chapters! cj

Did you know that Fred was always the more vocal of the twins? I just really hate that he died. This is an amazing story, though. I loved it!

Author's Response: He did seem to get some of the better lines, didn't he? Thank you for the review! cj

I felt obliged to check out some of your stories after you left a nice little review for my story :) I'm glad I did. I did feel that there were a few things left unsaid at the end of the 7th book and of course JK couldn't spend forever on this part of the book. But I feel your story fit in perfectly with the little bits of emotions leftover after. I thought the short conversations of acceptance between Harry and Severus and again with the Malfoys were done rather well. The bits of humor were written well into the sadness of the story, you have you love Luna of course ;) And George's acceptance of Fred was nice. Thank you for a satisfying read.

Author's Response: Thanks for popping by! I'm pleased that you felt that my story fit in well with the original and I handled the emotions well. I find ti tricky sometimes to write emotionally, but not too over the top. Thank you for the positive review! cj

I love george for that it was the best speach in the world. And the whole story you jsut created was the perfect closure. you did a splendid job.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks very much. I appreciate that. I'm thrilled you enjoyed George's words. You've made my day! cj

Amazing story - although it is only one chapter!! After reading this, I feel like finally the DH has been filled up. I, too, felt that something was missing in the book, although I didn't know what. I really enjoyed reading the conversation between Harry and Severus. Good work!

Author's Response: Thanks very much. I am pleased you enjoyed it. And I am thrilled that you especially liked the Severus/Harry conversation. I worked long and hard on that chat as I wanted a new respect between those two, without it being sappy, as it would definitely not be a love-fest between them, simply a quiet understanding. Thanks for the review! cj

Hello CJ! I just wanted to comment on your lovely job at britiscms here! You did an excellent job with adding british words, and I even noticed that you spelt some words in British form. Great job on this one-shot!

--ginnygirl16

Author's Response: Thanks! I hope I get the British words correct - I was born in Nottingham. My family would be mortified if I got something wrong! Luckily, too, I live in Canada, and some people use many British terms here. Thanks for reading and reviewing! cj

This was lovely. You just reviewed my piece, The Missing Chapter, and I was anxious to see your take on the battle's aftermath (no pun intended). It was so nice to get some extra time out of that final night--thank you. I especially enjoyed the scene with the Malfoys--short and low key, but I bet that's exactly what Harry would have done.

I'm feeling a camaraderie with you as we are both mothers who seem to be the biggest HP fans in our households. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your pieces.

Becky

Author's Response: I recognized your pen-name right off, Becky. Actually, when I got the notification that I had a new review, I was wondering if it might be from you, and I'm so glad it was! I'm pleased that you enjoyed the Malfoy/Harry interaction and found it to be realistic and low-key. I tried hard to avoid too-sappy encounters with Snape and then with the Malfoys, as I figured that would be completely off-canon. I, too, feel a sense of camaraderie with you. We mothers must stick together! Thanks for reading and reviewing! cj

Wow..yeah, I totally agree with you about the fact that JK Rowling didn't satisfy my need to know more about what happened after the Trio left Dumbledore's office..Great job though..exactly how I pictured it

Author's Response: Yeah. It just didn't seem ... finished to me at the end. I enjoyed how the whole Voldemort, elder wand, defeat of He Who Must Not Be Named panned out and all, but wanted more action or even interaction with Harry and Ginny at the end. Glad you feel the same and thought my version was how you'd pictured it! cj

that was so perfect! i'm so happy that you didn't make George angry like so many do. i felt that he was as he should be, how Fred would have wanted it to. (By the way, i don't think your work is americanised - you capture Rowlings mood in a way i havn't seen in other's fanfic)

Author's Response: Oh, thank you very much! I'm thrilled that you think that George is how he should be. And I am also glad that you believe my work captures Ms Rowling's mood. How neat. My British relatives would be proud! Thanks for reading and reviewing! cj

Amazing, well done

Wow... actually speachless (which is a big deal for me haha!)

Author's Response: Thanks Michelle. So sweet. I'm thrilled I left you in an unusual state of speechlessness! Thanks for reading and reviewing. cj

*chuckles* Wonderful, simply wonderful!! Sequel, anyone?

Author's Response: I'm thrilled you found this story wonderful! And if you wish a sequel, check out my longer fic "As Happily Ever After As They're Gonna Get" as it more or less follows this one. The only exception is with the portrait of Snape in the headmistress' office as I have different plans for that in the chaptered story. Thanks for reading and reviewing! cj
