Chapter: What Became of His Shattered Souls

Wow, that was an amazing look into the decision to become a ghost is like, and what happens when your soul isn’t fit to become one. I imagine that would be Voldemort’s version of Hell. Having to listen to the fragments of his soul and the admonishments they heap on him.
I recognized some of the ones you described as the ones he used to split his soul, but I thought it had to be a human murder to rip it in two. The snake wouldn’t qualify would it? Even if he housed his soul in one, he couldn’t kill one to make a Horcrux could he?
While he was standing at the archways, he heard the voices. While I was reading the questions they were asking, the voice in my head was Bill Nighy, as Davy Jones, asking “Do you fear death?” Not sure if that is what you had in mind when you wrote this, but that is the voice I heard when I read it.
I really liked your version of Voldemort’s afterlife, and I plan to return to your Author page soon. You’re talent is shown in this story, and I can’t wait to read more. Happy Holidays!

This is very impressive. I felt that this was a fitting end for Tom Riddle. Your story is very well written!

Chapter: What Became of His Shattered Souls

Though his muscles were aching and his body was frail, he could not sit; the darkness forced him to stand as the haunting forms consumed his thoughts. And so he spent the rest of eternity where the only sounds were children’s wailing, wind howling, daunting light forms flying, and the gnashing of teeth.

A fitting end to Voldemort's life!! 10/10

Wow - this is really good. You're too young to write so well!
It is a good thing I don't believe in Hell because your version of Tom's fate is really quite scary and I'd probably have nightmares like one of the previous reviewers indicated.
Out of curiosity, what would have happened had Tom chosen the other veil?

Author's Response: LOL, I'm flattered! I honestly don't know, actually! I just invented the two veils for an option before entering the 'Afterworld': one for those who weren't afraid to die and those who were. Tom wouldn't have chosen the other veil because all his life he was running away from death. For everyone who would have passed through the other veil, it would have been heaven.

That was a really interesting read because I wrote a somewhat similar story, but with a very different end. Yours is much darker -- probably closer to what JKR would have done. It was very effective. Great job.

Good one - just what Tom deserves for all the pain and misery he brought to others willfully without remorse.

Chapter: What Became of His Shattered Souls

That was absolutely terrifying, and I think it's going to give me nightmares.

Well done.

I can see this happening, actually - if anyone deserves it, Voldemort does. It almost reminds me of the Titans in Ancient Greece who were subjected to eternal torture (Google it, you'll see what I mean.)

Still, though, I have one comment to make. When the figures Voldemort used to make his Horcruxes appeared, there was "a young man with messy black hair and glasses," who is clearly James Potter. But Voldemort didn't use him to create a Horcrux - he used Bertha Jorkins.

Other than that, this was excellently written - great job. Even though I may have nightmares later, as I previously mentioned, I hope you win.

Author's Response: Thanks for the brilliant review! :) This story terrified me too! But I hope you don't have nightmares! Actually, the young man with messy black hair is Harry, because part of Voldemort's soul latched onto him. I'm really glad you pointed this out, because I realized I hadn't included Bertha in the story. *goes to add*
