THAT WAS AMAZING! You are a genius!
Author's Response: Oh, everyone's making me blush!
Hahahaha! OMG, it's been a while since I've laughed that much, wow you must be a genius, how'd you come up with that idea? How long did it took you to write this anyway?
Marvelous...simply marvelous...Congratulations whoever you are. *chuckles*
Author's Response: Oh, thanks so much! I didn't come up with this idea; I was dared! But it only took me about an hour to write-- it was mostly all off the top of my head. I'm sorry to say I didn't put a lot of effort into it!
And I feel compelled to mention that all the mini-spoofs in your review responses are *HILARIOUS*!
Oh no, I'm laughing so hard... my sides are splitting again. :D
Author's Response: Awww, thanks! Do you think I should do a Harry-spray spoof?
Alright, Schmergo, I'm typing this from the hospital. You've finally done it: You've made me laugh so hard I *literally* split my sides and I had to have surgery. Hope you're happy.
Anyway, on a cheerier note, here are my favourite lines:
Ohhh, I knew that something was wrong!
Yes, worse than this song!
I read through this *really* quickly though, so I might be back with more later.
And my favourite song was What I’ve Been Looking For... all of what Tom said was making me laugh so hard that... well... you know what happened.
P.S. No I didn't *really* split my sides, but I *did* laugh so hard that I couldn't breathe for about five minutes and I almost passed out.
Author's Response: Katie! I'm so glad you thought it was funny! I'm sorry I almost made you have an Elizabeth Swann moment, though. I was scared for a moment when I saw "I'm typing this from the hospital!"
You are so amazing. Please keep it up. I know it may be corny, but if you are looking for more musical ideas that people know, you might think about the Disney animated movies. I really don't care what you do though. You brightened my day! Yay!
Author's Response: I am rather obsessed with Disney, and I'm in a musical revue of Beauty and the Beast (I play a character who's an interesting combination of LeFou and the three girls who stalk Gaston... I sing both parts and generally act like a very girly female LeFou), so that's a great idea!
Bravo! Applause! Very well done!
Author's Response: *Curtseys* Awww, thanks! Love the username, by the way.
Oh my gosh! That was so freakin' funny! I know as soon as I show my sister, she's going to want to get her friends together to make the music video!! I'll send it along if they do!
Author's Response: Oh man! That would make me insanely gleeful! And I'm really glad that you like it.
Amazing!! I really enjoyed "Get your head out of the way"!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! That one was fun to write, because I love the parallels between the sports.
Author's Response: THIS...IS...HOGWAAAAARTS!!!
Lol. I couldn't stop laughing! *10*
Author's Response: Thanks! I hope you've stopped now. I recommend eating something... it's hard to laugh and eat at once. And if you keep laughing anyway, you'll choke and die... and then you can't laugh.
0_0My, SOMEONE's a bit morbid today.
Agh! I love all of these musical spoofs! You remind me of Weird Al except without the whole "being a man" thing. As I've told you before, horrible singing is one of my favorite hobbies and singing songs inspired by High School Musical just fits in perfectly with that hobby! I particularly loved "That's Not How I Planned To Go" and "When There Was Me And Tom." And we can't forget everybody's favorite "shi...mmery!"
Yours is the stuff of a musical-making genius!
Author's Response: Ohhh, thank you! Yeah, I do lack that certain 'being a man' quality... and the being-able-to-play-the-accordion quality, one of Weird Al's many lovely traits. Though I'm certainly no genius (just ask last year's Geometry teacher), I'll certainly take that as a compliment!
oooh wait! I know you're doing the wicked thing with book 7, but I just got this picture in my head of James and Sevvypoo singing What is this Feeling, and now I can't get it out, and not I'm really hyper, so I just thought I'd post it anyway.
(Have you noticed my strange obsession with ridiculing Snape? Never gets old)
Author's Response: Oh, I saw it with Harry and Draco! Just so Harry can say "Blonde." Or it could be Harry and Volders... with Harry saying 'bald.'
Where do you get all this from? I was seriously laughing so hard I could't breathe!
Spoofs of Hairspay and Wicked next? My two favorite musicals? AWESOME! I just get this image in my head of someone singing popular to snape. :) AND . . . you just gave me the best plot bunny ever! A spoof of Grease all about (you guessed it) Snape. You can't steal it! It's MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE! *evil laughter*
Author's Response: HAHAHAHA! GREASE! That is absolutely brilliant! Man, I see so much potential in that... Snape could sing "Hopelessly Devoted to You!" And... and... the Marauders could be like, "Look at me, I'm ol' Snapey! " And it would all be worth it just to imagine Snape doing that "Lil-il-y-Y! Why-y-y-y-y!" With the freaky falsetto voice!
okay, can I review an "author's reponse" to other reviews? I just left a review, then read all of your responses, and you are sooo funny!!! I am off to add you to my favorites list and read the rest of your verbal wonders! "I have a connection to voldemort's mind..." heee! I need to try that one on my husband. it will totally drive him nuts!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Though I'm slightly worried that my authors responses are funnier than the fic... add to your husband that Voldemort's naughty thoughts are really about him. That would REALLY drive him nuts!
ha ha haaaaa! so very very clever! hard to even pick a favorite but I like your "get your head out of the way" so much better than the original...McG yelling at a censored Lee...priceless! now if I can just get "hogwarts, everywhere" out of my head...Howdy camera-boy, say ‘cheese!’ good job!
Author's Response: Aww, thank you! I never really liked "Get Your Head In The Game..." hip-hop gets on my nerves, I like "real" musical-type music better.
I have to admit I struggled through...I haven't seen that movie/musical thing. I'm just glad to see that you wrote this out of a dare and don't think it's a musical genius thing. I am currently attempting (now that I'm in my end of vacation semi-depression) to sppof (or whatever the word is) Spamalot. Not much luck unfortunately. Most of the songs are hard to fit HP lyrics...oh well. I'll say 8.5/10, even if I don't know if this is great or terrible.
Author's Response: Wow, I am completely surprised that you even tried to read this without seeing the movie! Good luck with Spamalot-- I tried it as well (the quest for an object seemed to suit Deathly Hallows very well), but it just wouldn't work! Maybe because it's too silly already to spoof.
WOW!!!!! like always that was amazing!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you!!!!!! *Enjoys punctuation*
And here's a random Harry-spray song that's a spoof of "Without Love,", because I feel like it...
Voldemort’s a selfish fool who never understood
Love’s the secret weapon of everyone who fights for good
Too many horcruxes made him what he is today
But with love, he’ll scream and writhe and possibly decay!
WITHOUT LOVE! Voldemort’s an evil old dictator.
WITHOUT LOVE! Voldemort’s as bald as a potater.
He thinks that he’ll live forever, but he’ll always have to be
Dude, he’s dumber than Big D.
Dumber than Big D, oh, oh, yeah!
Schmergo, you've done it again! I mean, who needs to read COS when there's this? *chuckles* No, siriusly, it was perfect and didn't sound forced at all. I generally don't like humor, but all your stuff just takes the cake....
Author's Response: *Takes the cake and eats it* Sorry. Oh, I'm so glad you like it! I love rhyming, and I guess it comes pretty naturally to me. (This whole thing took about an hour to write.)
Just so you know, I was going to review the story (it was beyond hilarious), but then I caught a glimpse of your reviews.
I have to say, I LOVED your Voldemort sings "Popular"! Holy Helga! I could so see him doing that! (in your stories, that is....not Jo's).
If you ever do another musical spoof, I know that I'll read it and enjoy it!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I also wrote a bunch of Hairspray (Harry-spray) spoofs in response to spam reviews that got deleted... I think I'll post 'em here...
"GOOD MORNING VOLDEMORT!"
Oh, oh, oh woke up today
With a new evil scheme on the way
Oh, oh, oh, hungry for revenge and killing sprees
I call the D.E.s!
The rat on the street
Is secretly Pete
No one will guess that he’s Pettigrew!
Oh, oh, oh, don’t make me wait
UNTIL THAT POTTER BRAT’S LIFE IS THROUGH!
Good morning, Voldemort!
Every day’s like an open door!
Every night is a killing spree
Every sound screams of agony!
Good morning, Voldemort!
I heard Snape just killed Dumbledore.
The world’s gonna wake up and see
Voldemort and me!
I may post more if I feel like it ("Without Love" and "You Can't Stop Lord V") and if I want to expose the world to extremely horrible spoofs-in-progress
yay! me gusta.
Author's Response: Yay indeed! I'm glad you liked it!
