Oh...my...lord...that was really, really good. Way to stick it to the Dursleys! I always thought they deserved hell for Dudley's name. Some parents...If you ever have the time, you should totally do a sequel or something. I'd love to see what Dudley would think of a wizard wedding...
Author's Response: Sadly I've never found time to write the sequel - the Neville series is a lot of work and I only have so much free time! One day I might write it, but I can't promise anything and don't hold your breath!
Someone suggested that you write a fic of Harry's wedding as a follow-up for this... I totally agree, you should!! :)
Author's Response: Maybe if I find some spare time and come up with a good idea, I will. I would definitely like to, if I find a good concept to work the story around. I'll try to give it some thought.
This one is ultra-sweet! I really loved it cuz it showed more of Harry's character and pesonality, as well as Dudley's. This couldn't have been an easy project to take on.
Author's Response: The whole thing came to me in quite a rush actually, as far as I remember! I wanted a different take on Dudley, a sense that he might yet have a promising future.
Every sentence of that story was perfectly in character. I truly enjoyed this one-shot look into this last visit that DH severely lacked.
Yet again another great piece by Sonorus.
Author's Response: Thanks! I wrote this a long time ago (or it seems long now!) but I think it's held up well. It was good to give some closure to the Dursley story.
aw. this was very good!
im glad i finally found someone who wrote about them, i did feel the need for a bit of closure there. if i were to get to ask jkr some questions, one of them for me would be if harry ever saw them again...
anyway, i was so glad that dudley seemed to mature abit in DH.
i like how you put a small tribute to severus here as well! poor sev.
Author's Response: Thanks! I think we all needed a bit of closure on this subject. I do think Harry and Dudley would have kept in touch off and on over the years, but sadly I doubt they would ever have been friends, they were too different. I think Dudley did learn from Harry, though.
this is really really good. i like it a lot.
Author's Response: Thanks!
That was so good. I really liked it alot. I haven't got to the part in my post DH story but you have set the bar if they do meet again.
Author's Response: I'm flattered! Glad you enjoyed it.
I loved this story. I cried during cconversation that Harry and Dudley had when they left the first time and this seemed like the perfect follow up to that. The fate of the Dursley's wasn't explained in the book and your characterization of them was perfect!
Author's Response: Thank you. I felt the Dursleys' story needed some final closure and wanted to provide that.
That was awesome! I liked it!
Author's Response: Thanks!
*sniff* that was so good! ur a really good writter *high 5* u made me think of dudly as a real person, not just a lump of fat anyways good work :)
Author's Response: Thanks! Dudley finally made it to the status of real person in DH, and I felt I ought to give him his due.
aw. so sweet. I hate you vernon d. you stink like mrs. figgs's house and my7 rental car! HA! so there! take that you scurvy dog!
This was nice. I can puicture dudley getting pushed and jostled around in a wizard street, terrified out of his wits. hehe. That would be funny. Great Job on this!
Author's Response: Vernon is an ignorant pig and deserves almost worse than Harry gave him. Dudley among wizards - well, he wouldnt have a clue what was going on, but he'd hold his own physically, I reckon.
Good one!! I felt especially inclined to review considering one of the pivotal characters included in your story. Thanks for taking up this story line, you did it really nicely!!
Author's Response: I apologise for not including more Hestia! You do get a sense, though, that she's had to put up with a lot from the Dursleys in the past year, poor woman!
That was so amazingly great, I always wondered what had happened to the Dursley's, I couldn't stand the fact that Aunt Petunia had never told him about Sev and Lily. But she was going to in "The Dursleys Departing" and she still couldn't pluck up the courage.
Author's Response: Thank you! Petunia is definitely weak and bitter, she seems to have gone on a 30 year strop just because she couldn't go to Hogwarts and tries to pretend to herself that it never happened. That's seriously messed-up.
Oh very good! I was surprised at first when it was Dudley that Harry came back to say good-by to, but when i thought about it, it really made sense! Good job! :)
Author's Response: I don't think it was something Harry would have thought of doing until the shock of Dudley's response when he left Privet Drive. Even then, I think his experience with Snape would have helped Harry to give Dudley a second chance.
wow this is really good!! i can so imagine it happening...its definitely sumthing harry wud do.
Author's Response: I definitely think it's in his character, and it provides a nice bit of closure.
Awesome fic! This is awesome! ~MJ
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Aww, this is so sweet! Something I think Harry would've done! Going to faves! lol
Author's Response: I think it's something Harry would have done too, though a part of me thinks he did it partly to stick it to Vernon and Petunia one last time!
wow. that was amazing. I certainly did not expect that last confontation with dudley. good job!
Author's Response: Dudley alone of the Dursleys finally earned some respect and I thought that should be acknowledged.
Awesome!!! I love the zidea of Harry coming back to talk to dudley. That was very sweet. I
Author's Response: I thought Dudley deserved a second chance from Harry and it could do him some good.
I feel like another loose end has been tied up now. This was a very good story and i felt like i was reading it right from DH.
Thank you for this story.
Author's Response: Thanks. I felt it was a story that needed telling and I enjoyed writing it.
