Chapter: No Refusal, Just Disownment

Hello again! I'm baaaaack. :)

This reminds me inexplicitly of one of my favorite novels, The Luxe. Anyways, onward with the review.

Your characterization of Narcissa was lovely. The exchange between her and her father was good as well, though I have one nitpick:

He reached up slimy fingers to stroke that goatee of his.

^ That sounded a bit awkward, and it would make more sense if you said something like "He touched his face with slimy fingers, stroking his goatee."

Lucius was lovely as well. Very believable for him, in my opinion.

Another great story, Lindsey! Keep up the great work. Now, only 30 more to review... *sigh*

Author's Response: Oh, Victoria! *hugs* You really don't have to review all thirty, dear. Most of them, after a brief read over, that were done years ago, are quite bad! *blushes* But thank you very much for the lovely compliments! *hugs again and steals away* ~Lindsey :)

Ohh Lindsey, I really hope there are more stories about Narcissa on their way. You do an excellent job of writing her, going from the very little we know about the woman. I loved how you wrote youngish!Lucious as well, so nervous about the proposal, like any man would be, no matter what the circumstances. Great job, I loved it!

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Ashley! ~Lindsey :)

I really liked reading this fic, it showed just how far some wizarding families will go to keep the bloodlines pure, how much they obsess over the "purity" of blood, and that they will do absolutely anything, even disown their children, to keep them from marrying anyone other than a pure-blood.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. ~Lindsey :)

Oh that's sad! I like it though, but I probably would of chosen love instead of money...oh well.

Author's Response: Yeah, I probably would have as well, but you have to remember that this is the Black family, so . . . that's kind of what I came up with. Thanks so much for the review! ~LIndsey :)

The Black family is just full of cruel individuals u know it. Disownment, mental problems coughbellatrixcough I mean seriously

Author's Response: LOL, Shane! Thanks for the review. Now that I've started writing about them, this is kind of how I've interpreted them . . . well, some of them anyway. I think that some of them were forced to turn evil, kind of, so that's how this came. While Lucius himself wasn't exactly evil, Voldemort was and she got sucked in with the others. ~Lindsey :)
