Wow, that was brilliant, finally the conclusive last chapter to DH that I wanted since finishing the book. Personally, I think JKR should have put something like this at the end of DH, even instead of the epilogue, to show that Harry respected Snape, and was sorry, without having to name a child after him.

I think you have written a much better ending to the series than JKR herself. You have portrayed all the right emotions in this piece, without making it maudlin or mawkish. I really liked how you brought Draco into it, how Harry brought Draco with him. I loved their apologies to Snape.

I have decided that I am going to take this as part of DH, because it really needs a chapter like this. It is comforting knowing that Harry has vowed to make the world know that Snape was Dumbledores man, that's something I really wish happened in the book.

You write really well, both Harry and Draco are very much so in character throughout the whole story, the slight awkwardness, the brief moments of conversation between them. Anyway, I loved it!

A fitting end to a man who really deserved so much better than what he received. i feel like writing a story about him in which he at least has offspring. Well done.

Author's Response: I agree that Severus deserved a lot more than he got. His life is a tragic tale and I wanted his life to end with a shard of dignity. Thanks so much for the review.

Excellent. Touching and poingnant, yet not sappy...very well done. And a fitting end, that should have been in the book....

Author's Response: Thanks so much. Glad you liked it. :D

very fitting, and well written. the last parts of this one shot made me tear up. I just wish JO would've written in something like this in DH.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed it and found the ending emotional.

Ah, thank goodness somebody thought to write a story that filled one of the gaps left at the end of the book! Now all I need is to read a fic about how Hermione got her parents back and I'll be content. This was good, well written and led on from the canon well. Only criticism is that the dialogue between Draco and Harry felt awkwardly worded at times and the 'I was a prat' stuck out, but that might just have been me. Overall a very solid piece of writing.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

That seriously brought tears to my eyes. It breaks my heart to think of Snape dead. Very well done. :]

Author's Response: I hate the thought of Severus being dead too. But thanks for the review and I'm glad you liked to story.

This could easily go on to say how other people reacted to Harry Potter carrying in the man who had killed Albus Dumbledore honoring that man when everyone thinks that Harry should hate Snape

Author's Response: I don't think the story needed that extra element. However, I'm sure Harry will defend his name.

Ahh, a post-DH fic. Exactly what I need.
They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn’t notice him.
I really like how close the Malfoys are. It almost draws a parallel between them and the Weasleys. But then again, a lot of the families were probably drawn together during the war. I'm glad at least they all survived. Two of them seemed almost sure to die...

“What do you want from my son?” she demanded.
Classic overprotective Cissy. That particular aspect of her must be enhanced after everything that just happened.

It was time to return Snape to the one place he considered a home–Hogwarts.
Wow. I love this fic (despite my shorter review). It seems like an outtake straight out of DH. Everything from the atmosphere in the Great Hall, to Harry and Draco's attitudes towards each other, to their goodbyes and the last sentence. It was all great.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I'm really glad you enjoyed the story.

I was glad the Malfoys survived, but I can't help but be rather annoyed with Narcissa. However, that is another story and I am certainly glad she survived.

And I agree that Narcissa's overprotection towards Draco would be higer after everything they went through.

Thanks again for another lovely review!

I like this story a lot. I wonder of Harry's feelings toward Snape may have been more confused at this time, but still a fitting tribute to Snape. I thought that the writing was very descriptive and the story moved well.

Author's Response: I'm sure Harry was confused about some things, but he knew that he had misjudged Severus and that was why he was there.

Thanks for the review!

I really like how you had Harry go back and retrieve Snape. I'm also glad that Draco was able to help. I don't know if Draco would have been quite so passive, but I do think he would have gone and left his "mum" behind. LOL Thanks for filling in this gap. You did a great job of it! Cyns

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.

And poor Narcissa. I just didn't think she would want to let Draco out of her sight, especially to go retreiving bodies. So he just didn't mention it.

Anyway, thanks again for the review.

Very nice story. I am glad that you said in an earlier review that you liked doing the lesser know characters from the book because i feel that there are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied up. You and many like you will have the opportunity to help those of us with no imagination to put closure to many of the folks that we love from the series.

I look forward to many more very good stories like this one to help fill in japs that Jo left behind.

Thank you for writing this.

Author's Response: *Smiles*
