This is a very powerful story. Well worth the read.

A very powerful story! I can definitely see why this is a featured story! You really captured Snape's character, and your descriptions really evoke emotion. The one thing I felt sort of jarred the flow of the story was when Snape speaks about his feelings - it didn't really sound like something anyone would say. Also, I'm not sure about Lily describing Snape as a father figure for Harry. I love that she forgives him, but I think that might be going a little far. But you got the feelings spot on, and the hopefulness in this one-shot did give the reader a lovely sense of closure that went perfectly hand-in-hand with canon!

I love this story! It is so beautiful, but Lily's dialogue doesn't really remind me of the way she would talk . . . oh well. Beautiful!

yes! i love it! i kinda hate how people make it sound like lily and snape were in love romantically, i prefer to think lily loved him as a friend in the way that she wanted him to be happy

Wow! That was so lovely. I really enjoyed it, honestly. I never really think about Snape all that much ... I appreciate that he's a fascinating character, but it's never been much deeper than that, I've always swayed towards the Marauders, I'm afraid. But that was a really great story, a wonderful perspective on his life (um ... afterlife, I mean). It's nice that he gets a whole new start ... a comforting thought. Congratulations on a great fic!

Aww, I love Snape. Nice story. I hate what happened to Severus in DH, but what you have done here is beautiful.

Very, very good. An interesting scenario, to be sure, but well-thought out and certainly realistic. And I loved the end- "the next great adventure was considerably less eventful than the last."

very interesting point of view. are you planning on going on and describing his next great adventure? Would be a very interesting concept, maybe both him and Albus being the close friends they were in this life but able to show it to their "world".

That goodbye was so fitting! I think you captured Snape perfectly here, and I love Lily coming to see him. It is also great that James told her to go. Very cool! Cyns

I liked this very much. At times Severus did not sound as i thought he should but that could have been because he was talking to Lily.

I with little imagination need stories like this to finish out the book. Jo left many strings untied and many questions unanswered as far as i am concerned.

Thank you for this closeing to Severus.

Thank-you for giving Snape the closure that Jo couldn't fit into Hallows. He is the most complete character she created, and you have only added to his depth with your many tales. This bit made me cry!

Hi Jan!
I really like this! I love the way you worked Lily and the Resurrection Stone into Snape's brief sojourn after death. And I really like that Lily forgave him and still loved him, though not in a romantic way. You've written a very touching piece that still kept the Snape-edge. It really does give the reader a bit of closure after DH - great job!
