Love the story. I know think that they make a really good couple and would love to read more
I really like seeing Sev in romantic situations. He has an intense personality which really comes through well in love and romance. I was thinking he was a Taurus but his character is a Capricorn (as am I and my son) and Capricorns can be very intense. Almost as bad as the "bulls." I'm not sure how much reading I'll get done today. I've got some meetings and a few small projects. I don't know why they expect me to fill my work day up with actual work. Don't they know I have a lot of reading and "research" to do. Great chapter.
Whatever reading the inconsiderate souls who don't realize how much more productive staff can be with frequent mental health/fan fiction breaks allow will make my day, rest assured!
I agree with you about Severus, and would love for you to read the Marauder Era story More Than a Feeling. I pair him with a Slytherin girl with Hufflepuff tendencies and a nasty uncle named Fenrir who likes him as is, doesn't change him, save the day for wizardkind, or die beautifully. :D Don't tell (heh) but there's even a happy ending, although like with Tonks and Remus, I make my lovers earn it. ;)
You know what's weird? I kind of like Snape/Tonks love. That may just be 'cause it's you, though :)
Author's Response: It's her Black streak. She gets along well with dodgy sorts and Slytherins. :D I could only write SSNT pre-Remus, but I did my best to make it deep and meaningful...as well as sexy!
Great Job, but I wish it were longer! I know that you've written a story that makes these fit into Deathly Hallows, but is there any chance that there might be another one in between? I'd love to see more!
Author's Response: Beauty for Ashes is the last story, but thank you for wanting more! I'll admit I get a kick out of having Pomfrey and Dawlish think Tonks is having an affair with Snape in my R/T fic, knowing that in a different dimension, they would be! :D
Rewriting Snape's character again heh...;) And come on Snape isn't that nice to anyone- not even himself and I agree with the reviewer who said it seems off somehow. And I have to ask what on earth would these two people see in each other? He despises the very type of person she is and she could never get past that snarky hurtful venom she spews- it would break her. Besides you write Tonks and Remus soooo much better.
Author's Response: Wait until you read DH before saying Snape is incapable of feeling love. IMHO, it's only "off" because it's not a happy-ever-after ship. Tonks and Snape might be different personalities, but lovers aren't always people whose personalities, talents, and opinions match 100%. Attraction, chemistry, happiness with someone is possible even with the most unlikely of couples...like Remus and Tonks! :D
Excellent writing, as always... I just can't make myself hop on the Snape/Tonks ship. It seems... off, somehow.
Author's Response: With Tonks and Remus, I see them as a ship that will sail into the sunset of a happy ending (whether Jo gives them one or not!) Snape and Tonks, on the other hand, is a ship that is sailing with all flags flying in the beginning of the relationship, but I can see Tonks eventually wanting to make it public...and Snape won't. Add his re-involvement with Voldemort and he'll sink the ship for her own good, leaving Tonks to deal with a broken heart until she meets the man who is her true soul mate!
Only a very talented writer could make me like this pairing. WHich you have done! I've read three of your SS/NT and Im really hoping for more!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you for saying that! There's Snape and Tonks in my R/T stories, especially in the HBP story, but it's ex-cheeky-student dealing with ex-snarky-professor, eventually developing a kinda/sorta 'you're not as bad as I'd thought but I'm not going to buy you a pint down at the pub' friendship. ^_^
I like Severus, but I'm kind'a used to Remus as Tonks' love interest! JM
Author's Response: In the Blue Moon Potterverse, I had fun having Tonks think about Snape 'in what universe would I ever fancy you?' :D
This is definitely a different dimension, where I think Snape and Tonks work as a couple because she's young and idealistic and has yet to feel heartbreak or meet the man that will heal it. I won't write past the 'honeymoon' stage, because I'm full up on angst, lol, and with a probable unhappy ending to DH, I can't help wanting to give Severus happy endings in my stories!
Breathe! I must remember to breathe when reading your stories. I tend to forget about half way through :D
I thought that this was really well done! It followed the other two very nicely.
However, I kept thinking, “She belongs with Remus! Get your hands off!” And then I started thinking about what Morty would say if she was in that position….
I know, I know – wrong story. But anyhow, I really enjoyed this one.
Author's Response: I know how you feel. I have to say to myself, "Remember that this is an alternate dimension of the Potterverse, where she falls for Snape, not Evan. She's not cheating on Remus. She doesn't know he exists!" :D
Remus and Tonks will always be #1, but in a different time and place, Snape could be a "favorite mistake". :D
